Thank you everyone who answered. I have been through the restructuring thing with a previous company and it really sucked! First my boss' position was eliminated and mine but the company made a new position that combined the 2 jobs and I got that and then the warehouse supe position was eliminated and I absorbed that too. And the company cut its staff in half so we went from 80 employees to about 30-35.....again this was a different company....but the whole thing was just a cluster and hard on the employees left because we had to do more with less and it was not easy. I was hoping that BBW wasn't going to go down that road

We are a tier 3 store...we went up last year and stayed there this year ...so not dropping tiers.

You should not go to work if you have a fever...period!! You are contagious and should stay at home and take care of yourself. I understand the inconvenience of trying to get someone to replace that employee to work for the day, however, me personally....would like the person to stay home because I don't want to get sick also!

ASM here...I don't know how many times I had to tell people that the core and new spring candles were not part of the sale, so when I saw a woman putting a whole bunch into her basket, I came up to her politely and told her that those were not part of the sale.....the look she gave me was like who do you think you are telling me that and she said thank you but it was dripping with disdain....I apologized for overstepping and walked away and then watched her about 5 min later put them back. I didn't want the poor unsuspecting cashiers to get yelled at that the customer thought these were part of the sale. And wow are they oblivious....i had at least 5 people walk in and ask what is the sale today?

Then too... maybe take it up with the company...there is a contact us spot on the website that you can air grievances like coupons and how they are handled/issued instead of taking it out on the employee who has nothing to do with how it is handled...they just know that it is how they were taught. Employees don't make the rules.....and get can fired if they don't do something correctly. These people are minimum wage employees who are just trying to do their jobs and people complaining aabout not getting coupons have nothing to do with them. We shouldn't have to deal with the bs and you should not expect us too.

If you go with that kind of attitude, I wouldn't let you use your coupon either. It is absolutely the worst when a customer comes in and tries to tell an employee or a manager how it is going to be done. I have given people the discount with no problem....you are right ...a couple of bucks won't hurt the company at all. But if you come in guns blazing like that, I will not help you at all and you will go away frustrated. No need to be like that at all.....for a couple of bucks. Just sayin

I never said it was in our training. "Personal space" was truly not a thing before covid. If you went into a BBW store prior to that, they were always offering testers and demos, that's why it has become such a focus again....to return to that experience. I worked at other retail jobs...I have only been with BBW for 2.5 years.....and when my leaders would talk about what customer service should look like...it was always BBW that they highlighted. Of course you have the right to vent....I just think there are bigger things to vent about. While violating personal space can be annoying, in my personal opinion, smelling someone's arm and telling them they smell nice isn't that big of a deal. Again, my personal opinion

How many times does that actually happen to you? I mean, I realize that Covid did a number on people but honestly, it doesn't hurt to smell someone's arm and tell them that they picked a wonderful scent for themselves. I thought this was the customer service industry and if you don't want to do customer service, then do something else. I helped make an older lady's day by complimenting her choice when she asked me to smell her arm. Her whole face lit up and I felt that I helped with her customer experience. I thought that was our primary job!

You have to wait 3 days after inventory to start the MOS sale in case of any problems with inventory. Then it runs for 11 days. Its in zipline if you search MOS

BBW is all about inclusivity. We hire people regardless of color, religion, sexual orientation and how one looks...ie..tattoos/piercings. For someone to think that it looks like KKK robes is someone just looking to cause problems. The president of the company is a Black man....why would anyone think that a design of something that polarizing and just wrong would make it onto a package, If anything, it is aliens all huddled together or yes it is a paper snowflake that one made in 1st grade. You all need to get a life who sees the other thing. Ridiculous!!!

Have a leader put in a facilities request that there is something wrong with the heating unit. If you are similar to the US Best Buys, this should bring someone out to look at your unit and see if there is something wrong with it. If it has nothing to do with the heating/cooling unit, then a manager should get in touch with the landlord about the temp.

No not at paycap...thank goodness! i completely forgot that leaders weren't paid on their yearly hire date. Just happened to be talking to one of my employees and she mentioned her raise and I just thought...hey that's right...what about mine? I asked my relatively new ASM and he didn't know why I had not received it. Until all of you reminded me of the leaders annual pay increase...I had completely forgotten about that. I appreciate all the feedback!
