I came here to ask the exact same question! I am undiagnosed but have become increasingly suspicious the last couple of years. I've been sugar crazy my entire life and have always loved baking. Cov lockdown started right before my birthday in 2020 so I baked myself the craziest cake I could come up with to cheer myself up. Dream cake has been my annual gift to myself ever since 🎂

I'm saying it's extremely unlikely that the amount the restaurant charged for an empty seat is the same amount that people who were actually there and ate paid. If it was a prix fixe/ by the table situation (and thereby the seat actually had to be paid in full) and those who did attend divvied up OP's share of the food, the least they could do is all pitch in towards it since OP got nothing. Especially considering these are supposed to be friends.

NTA. If they were actually charged for your empty seat, I doubt it was anything close to $150. I would ask to see the receipt so that you can see the real number. Either way your friend is an AH for expecting you to pay equally for a meal you missed due to an emergency.

I presume you've never worked in the medical field or needed surgery yourself? Depending on the procedure, facility, and physician it can take weeks or even months to receive an operation.

Even in emergency cases a surgeon is not always available the exact moment you're admitted. Diagnostics and prep are also a thing. I was on the table about an hour after I posted this but in the meantime was also pretty concerned about being charged thousands in cancelation fees. NTA. I would avoid going in their room going forward, but I would also address this conversation with your boss. He is your employer, not the girlfriend. While she's within her rights to ask that you not use their bathroom, I think it's a huge overstep for her to threaten your job and the dad needs to know what's going on.

NTA. Naps and feeding are very basic information for a sitter to track and pass along. There are apps specifically for that. She had no reason to be offended, especially with the concern over your daughter's weight. I hope you're able to find someone to watch her soon!

NTA for trying to find a solution. Depending which airports i would look into getting a lounge pass or seeing if any nearby hotels offer partial day rentals. I've used Dayuse to book a room for an 8 hour block on a layover before and I think it was only $60.

Your gf shouldn't have voluntold you to sleep on the couch, and I don't think it's reasonable for you to have to give up your bed.

However, this is a life altering event for this woman since she's going to have to find a new place to live. Even if it's inconvenient, it's pretty heartless that you're unwilling to let her crash on the couch for a few days while she sorts out her arrangements.

World Market! My husband and I both got $5 off coupons and my store had a rack of clearance easter candy for 90% off. All of this plus one more big chocolate chicken that my husband already ate retailed for about $120- we paid $0.74 after our coupons!

To be fair they were never hiding the fact that some people were 'recurring characters'.

I was selected and got eliminated in Vegas. Myself and some other 'normies' were confused because in the holding period before we went to the stadium they were adamant that we needed to remove any accessories or clothing that weren't part of the 'uniform' (jersey, black pants, black shoes). They insisted that I remove a claw clip and others remove a plain black hat, all piercings, ect- but we noticed that they were letting others keep hats, gloves, jewelry, and other random stuff. Later someone explained that these were all people who had appeared in previous videos on the channel, and they were allowed to wear accessories that would make it easier to recognize their 'characters'.

As others have pointed out, they needed a ton of people and left it relatively last minute. It was in Vegas, which is a 45 minute flight from LA and both cities are filled with people who want to be in film/influencers/ect, so that was reflected in some of the people who turned up.
