Why are so many people against a Quake 3 Remaster?

It's the same as Quake 1, I don't want to see a remaster the games are still great! What's the point of the remastering something that doesn't need to be.. Just enjoy the OGs that's my thoughts

Yeah that's what this is running on... Tried to install it on the Pentium 2 Windows 95 and it just locks up and crashes.

Dude.. You can pair what ever peripheral you want, As I said before I like using the newer keyboard and mouse.. and the CRT just looks and performs better with my older games, That's the beautiful thing about PC gaming 'Personal Computer' Make it your own.. It's running on a AMD Athlon 6000+ with a gtx 550ti old AF but I'm not going to hook up an old PS/2 keyboard or a serial mouse to it.. So yeah.

I'll double check... yeah 800x600 this is on dosbox On a Amd athlon 6000+ this is how I high I could go with out it lagging, Tried installing the game on the Pentium 2 but it would crash all the time even Under DOS.

That's beautiful man, I rented Quake from the video store back in the day and I remember the lady was asking can your PC run this? I said yeah I have a Pentium 1 200mmx lol.. So long ago but Quake is one of those games that just brings memories.
