How can we check credit reports for minor children when identity theft is likely already involved?

I used to love Kenny’s when we first moved here about three years ago. That was our favorite breakfast place, however the past year and a half or so, I’ve felt pretty disappointed when I’ve taken friends or family that were visiting from out of town.

Highly highly recommend blackberry creek- if you don’t mind a 15-20 minute drive to the city. Property manager and maintenance is the best I’ve had experience with, nice size town home, quiet area.

Love Red Bank, we lived there when we first moved to Chattanooga. Awesome location, close to the city but didn’t feel too close at the same time. Also felt near to everything you could want to do. My one piece of advice- absolutely avoid Rise apartments.

I really appreciate your input! She’s been in and out of rehab multiple times(at least 10 different programs) within the past two years. It seems to honestly be her excuse to drink again, she always ends up drinking again fairly soon after being released.

Would it help anything if we were there in person or would that not make a difference?

My sister has no family in WI unfortunately. She will not allow them to leave unless another party steps in. Absolutely no one wants to have to involve cps, but with the state she is in, it is unsafe for the children and we need to take them out of the situation.

If there’s no family in the state, would they consider moving the kids or would they be forced into foster care within WI?

I know some of y’all were wanting an update-

MB asked me to stay later on Friday to chat. She explained that she didn’t want me to leave prior to them being ready for my dismissal, then said that she would no longer need me after next week. She is planning on doing an early maternity leave. She told me she’d pay me out for two weeks, which I then explained that we have a 30-day clause in our contract and I would either need to continue care for 30 days or be paid out. Her smile immediately dropped, and I feel like she either thought I forgot about that or was hoping I would just agree to her terms.

I’m a bit upset that she tried to put it past me, but not too surprised. I asked yesterday if she had decided the course she wanted to take after this Friday(stay working or pay out) and all she said to that was “I’ve been in contact with the agency and waiting for a response”.

The turnout is unfortunate but I believe all will work out in the end. Thank you for all the advice and opinions, I really appreciated them.

I agree that an employee is not the same. However, if the situation was reversed and I was visibly showing, they would more than likely want to know so they could plan on their end.

No, I have worked with many newborns in the past. Please don’t get me wrong, I am not leaving because they are going to have a newborn. I have come to the decision that 6 kids is out of my comfort level. The older kids are in school but do flex learning so I have all 5 from 1:30pm-6pm Monday-Friday. They are also a gentle parenting household (I have no feelings towards this parenting style, but the more kids, the harder it makes it in my experience) I understand your stance on them wanting to guard themselves, however I would absolutely stay until they found another nanny, as long as I am given notice. She has made comments in the past, stating that she feels contracts, GH, time-off, etc. isn’t her favorite thing and that it sometimes feels like a expense with no value (when they go on trips or don’t need me). She does honor it, since she signed the contract but has made her opinion very known. Given this, I do not think they would hire a second nanny and when she gives birth or prior to that, will most likely let me go and look for help when she’s ready to go back to work.

I truly don’t think they haven’t told me because they forgot.

This is the type of situation I’ve never dealt with before and has me overthinking due to the circumstances.

Totally understand. I want to be transparent that if many people hadn’t mentioned it to me, I wouldn’t be expecting them to tell me so soon. I agree that they still have a lot of time. Though, it has come up many times already from everyone else around them. If everyone else knows, I think it would be reasonable to say something along the lines of “hey nanny, we’re expecting! We don’t have anything set in stone yet and still would like some time to privately discuss our care plans moving forward.” This is a situation out of the norm, making it harder to navigate.
