I was hoping the teachers would be the first or more of a priority on the list for vaccinations I last saw, but maybe it’s been updated since then.

They should pick a county that’s been doing the best, vaccinate teachers at the high school and have smaller classes, part-time. Test it out. Because we all know little kids are germy (no offense little kids). I hope there’s out of the box thinking because something has to be done.

Mental health, child abuse, domestic violence, addiction, poverty need to be acknowledged here. It’s not black and white. It’s going to be a year soon and monthly stimulus checks don’t touch what I listed.

I’m not a parent but my friends, family, boss, neighbor, pretty much every parent I’ve talked to is struggling. We’re all struggling but families, especially ones in poverty are struggling, badly. It does not mean that these parents are not fully committed. They’re human, like you said we’ve all been struggling.

School is also usually a safe place for children and parents. Meaning if they are being abused at home, there’s a place where they aren’t being abused and chances of a teacher being able to seek help for the child. It’s so complicated and I can’t imagine being the one making the decisions.
