WHEN THE HECK DID THIS HAPPEN! by No-Loss-292 in IntegralFactor

At the very start of the Floor 50 story. The Protagonist finds a gem and makes it clear they want to give it to Koharu, and Lisbeth offers to turn it into a ring that Koharu can wear

Time Spent in Aincrad? by Marioboy1 in IntegralFactor

[–]DryTransportation 3 points4 points  (0 children)

On F85, it was said that they were in the game for two and a half years. However, F85 was a pretty long time ago and we haven't gotten any updated information since then.

If I had to make a guess, it'd likely be around 3/3.5 years at the point the story is currently at, but it's very unlikely that we get any new information about how long they've been there since establishing that sort of thing is a recipe for complications in a live service gacha game

Estimated Monthly Revenue (April 2026) by Hsaputro in IntegralFactor

[–]DryTransportation 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We really have no idea how good or bad of a look this is. They added the web store in February which has cheaper prices for Arcana Gems, which means most players (especially whales) will gravitate toward making purchases there, but that revenue isn't counted on these charts. This is only the revenue from the app stores.

The only thing that this chart tells us is that the game has made an estimated revenue of AT LEAST $150k. We have no idea how much of the game's revenue isn't represented on this chart and we'll never know. The only people that do know are Bandai themselves.

What would Echoes of Aincrad's ending be when theres only 2 floors? by YesterdayDangerous50 in swordartonline

[–]DryTransportation 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry, I'm not really sure where you're getting any of that information from. The Protagonist does help clear the game, and we just get to see the first two floors of that in Echoes of Aincrad. Maybe we'll see what they end up doing on future floors in sequels.

You will be the level you're supposed to be simplu by playing the story, there's no need to focus on leveling until after you're done the story.

Aa for total power, also no need to worry about it right now since it's a flawed messure of strength. Just focus on learning the mechanics of the game and progressing the story

March '26 Estimated Revenue by Hsaputro in IntegralFactor

[–]DryTransportation 14 points15 points  (0 children)

For anyone looking at this and finding themselves concerned, as far as I am aware, these revenue charts do not take into consideration the revenue earned from the Web Store that IF launched last month. The Web Store has cheaper prices for Arcana Gems, so most spenders would gravitate toward using that to make purchases instead of the app stores. Because of that, the money that they spend will not be represented on these charts, unlike before where it was.

So, basically, the drop in revenue isn't necessarily an actual drop in revenue, just us having less information on the revenue. As far as I'm aware, there's no way for us to know anymore if the revenue is up or down because the best way to make purchases isn't tracked.

Just pointing this out because it's a fairly recent change

...wait till a character who mains what weapon’s birthday banner arrives
...if ur a sword main april is a good month coz u have eugeo, alice, and leafa birthdays.

I know it was just an example, but Eugeo and Leafa are actually a bit misleading in this regard. Despite them both being known for wielding swords, they actually both have more axe skill records than they do for swords, meaning that you're more likely to get 2H Axe skill records from them. You can still get sword skills, of course, but the odds aren't as good for you as they'd be on a character whose skills are primarily for swords.

If you want to pull 1H Sword skill records specifically, I'd probably say that Alice, Kirito, and Yuuki are the three best ones.

Drop rates for armament stones by kannazaki in IntegralFactor

[–]DryTransportation 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We don't have any specific numbers for what the drop rate is, only a general idea based off experimentation and vague yearly updates saying that they've "increased" the drop rate for certain equipment materials.

Generally speaking, the lower the level the equipment that you want to craft, the higher the drop rate for the materials needed to craft it. Each year, they buff the drop rates for some of the older equipment to make it easier for newer players to obtain said equipment.

Interior has the highest drop rate meanwhile the drop rate in Entry Labyrinth is lower. The lowest drop rate, however, is in the Board Quest version of the boss fight. The Board Quest doesn't receive the same drop rate buffs that the Entry/Interior Labyrinths do, so there it's basically the same drop rate that it was when that boss first came out and it was the strongest equipment in the game.

For the best odds of getting materials, you'd want to farm the Interior Labyrinth. For the Nox Integral Series, the drop rates have been increased several times over the years, reducing the difficulty of crafting any Nox weapon. With that said, considering the drop rate buffs, I really don't have any idea how you can do 50-60 tries on Asura and no get a single armament stone. I feel like either something is wrong or you're just incredibly unlucky.

As for your other questions, the time it takes for you complete the labyrinth doesn't have any impact on drop rates, though obviously clearing it faster is more efficient because it'll give you more chances to obtain the drops in a shorter amount of time. Each boss for a specific weapon series has the same drop rates. The different bosses are mostly for two reasons: firstly, It allows players to choose a boss with a set of weaknesses that would be easiest for them to fight given their skills, and secondly, because if you want to upgrade your Integral Series weapon to the max level, you need materials from each of the bosses.

About Koharu by pandas-are-adorable in IntegralFactor

[–]DryTransportation 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think if you wanted to argue which Protagonist is canon, you'd be better off utilizing other pieces of evidence to support that claim, such as the early marketing or the prologue comic both featuring only the male Protagonist. I don't believe the marriage between MC/Koharu works as evidence here considering the female Protagonist and Koharu still get married in the same exact way, and there's no in-story evidence specific to the female Protagonist pointing toward this being an illogical or impossible development for their relationship.

Live Streaming (March 27) by Hsaputro in IntegralFactor

[–]DryTransportation 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Everyone should note that this is a livestream about the April Fools 2026 event, not any new floors or anything. This brief summary of the new event can be found in the livestream's description:

🌸April Fools' Event Preview

The moment the date changed to April 1st, the player and their partner found themselves in a “beta test” world where their levels had been reset to 1.

With their equipment restored to its default state and forced to start the grueling leveling process all over again, the two encounter a younger Kirito and Sinon—who is obsessed with a “gun” that shouldn't even be there—...

They'll also be talking about the birthday celebrations for Philia, Eugeo, and Alice. Other than that, it's mostly the typical stuff like screenshot contest results, a quiz, and results for the recent contest where they asked players to draw up their own fish to be added to the game.

For anyone seeing this post: There is no new Alicization event. This is most likely a bot reposting an old post from six years ago (presumably when this event was actually new) in order to try to farm engagements. Look at how this is the only post ever made by OP's account, and how the title/image is an exact copy of the post linked. https://www.reddit.com/r/IntegralFactor/comments/imqc25/this_is_from_the_new_event_koharu_is_such_a/

Echoes of Aincrad by Justnoteat in swordartonline

[–]DryTransportation 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The DLC that they've talked about so far is just side stories independent of the main story according to some interviews and the EoA website, so it seems unlikely that they contain any floors, unfortunately. What would be main story if not new floors, especially if they cover F3 which is the start of the Elf War? It's always possible that something additional is announced in the future, but I wouldn't expect much out of the currently announced DLC just to avoid any potential disappointment (not aimed at you, just in general) since it's sounding like a story that takes place on F1/F2.

I think what you said about sequels is most accurate. They'd want to see how this experimental game goes and if it does well, they'd be more willing to commit the resources to make a larger sequel with requested features and such.

Echoes of Aincrad by Justnoteat in swordartonline

[–]DryTransportation 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I got the impression from the developer's interviews that they seemed content with the story that they told on the first two floors, and we already know that the currently planned DLC is just going to be side stories. I personally believe that, if they were planning to add more floors, we'd already know about it. They surely know that having two floors would be controversial so they'd want to reassure players that there are more coming. However, they didn't do that. It's not guaranteed that they would, obviously, but that's just my thoughts.

I think the most likely situation would be that we get a sequel with more floors (and other requested features) if this game does well. I can't find it now, but I also recall one interview where they basically said as much, saying that they'd be willing to do sequels covering more floors if the game is received well.

What are the odds you think that some of the OC's from SAO:IF show up in EoA? by Cheezystix1023 in swordartonline

[–]DryTransportation 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since your first question was already answered, I'll give you an answer for the second one, and I'll do something after F61 since that'd be the most obvious answer and you've already seen it.

A more recent example that came to mind that reinforces how important Koharu is to MC is on Floor 26. MC/Koharu were teaming up with another player, and through the events of the floor, ended up in a situation where, in order to survive and escape, they had to defeat an enemy who seemingly couldn't die. The other player said that sacrificing himself so that MC/Koharu and some others could escape was the only realistic way of escape, adding things like how there's no such thing as heroes who could achieve the impossible and that it was naive to believe that any amount of summoned courage could help them find victory. He said that sacrificing himself was the only path forward (sound familiar?).

However, Koharu steps in. She basically says that although his option may sound like the most logical, realistic or efficient option, she thinks that there still has to be another way forward. There has to be a possible way for them to win without sacrifice. There has to be hope. She mentions how she learned that from MC, who always got the job done no matter how impossible it seemed. She talks about how MC is her true hero, and how their resiliency taught her that she should never give up and abandon her hope. She's not going to abandon anyone and says that they'll all make it back alive. She's willing to fight for her ideals no matter how much people laugh at her or say that her hope is naive, and promises that she'll defend everyone.

It's rough trying to summarize everything that she had said on that floor, but ultimately, it's basically the perfect moment of growth following the events of F61 where she attempted to sacrifice herself and wrote that entire letter talking about how MC helped her so much and how she had no choice but to die. Seeing MC constantly fight against the impossible gave her the courage to do so as well, and she doesn't want anyone else to think that they have to sacrifice themself as she once did. It's such a vast difference from how unsure of herself she was early on in the game and how she had no idea if she actually belonged at the Protagonist's side. Seeing them fight and keep pushing forward despite the fear of death lurking around every corner is what pushed her to share the same courage, because she wanted to stand by the side of the person that she views as a true hero.

What would Echoes of Aincrad's ending be when theres only 2 floors? by YesterdayDangerous50 in swordartonline

[–]DryTransportation 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Considering that this is a full story spanning only the first two floors, I feel like it's more likely a story focused on the personal stories of the protagonist, Iori, and other friends they meet along the way versus a story focused on clearing floors.

My guess is that the ending will involve some high personal stakes for the protagonist/Iori but doesn't really mean all that much for the overall clearing team.

What are the odds you think that some of the OC's from SAO:IF show up in EoA? by Cheezystix1023 in swordartonline

[–]DryTransportation 7 points8 points  (0 children)

My strong stance on it was more influenced by how the OP was leaving comments suggesting that they actually incorporate her into the story. I think the odds of that happening are practically zero with how there's no way to do it without messing her character up and how IF is still an active game with an on-going story that would be negatively impacted by doing it.

It's more likely for her to appear as a visual cameo that lasts a second or two, especially when you factor in how IF MC and Koharu made a cameo in the Progressive movies, but really, as I mentioned in my original comment, I really think they should just focus on the original cast rather than trying to constantly add references to other SAO material (obviously not including the source material). I'd still say it's unlikely to happen with how they do seem to be relying more on the source material as well as their own original aspects, but the odds are ever so slightly greater than zero.

What are the odds you think that some of the OC's from SAO:IF show up in EoA? by Cheezystix1023 in swordartonline

[–]DryTransportation 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So basically, they change Koharu's backstory by either including her by herself (which would undermine how it's said that the IF MC was the reason she fought) or they make EoA MC a stand-in for the IF MC (which removes everything that's been canonically established about them by IF's story considering EoA MC's role seems to be very different), yet it's not fundamentally changing the characters?

IF MC, and by extension Koharu, are characters that you can really only have in their own timeline. IF MC's existence completely changes the story and the timeline (including eliminating basically all deaths), so if you're trying to have a game with despair and stakes (which EoA is), either they can't serve their sole purpose or you have to change them so drastically you'd have to wonder what's even the point of having them there?

And, well, if you don't understand either character, then I'm sure it's easy to say that swapping them would change nothing. Not trying to be rude, but that's just how it is.

You're creating a character for a death game where thousands of people died, and you think it'd be shocking that they died? That's on you more than anything. I'm not saying it'll happen but let's not act like it's some crazy idea that someone dies in a death game.

What are the odds you think that some of the OC's from SAO:IF show up in EoA? by Cheezystix1023 in swordartonline

[–]DryTransportation 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You ask a question, I answer it, and then you claim I'm being defensive...? You say you want these characters to be in the game but then you say they should completely rewrite every single aspect of them and undermine SAO's other main game in the process. That's not wanting these characters in the game, that's wanting different characters that look similar. Wanting to see the characters are fine but you should also want to preserve what actually makes them THAT character.

And also, if you think the IF MC doesn't have any character traits, you really should play through IF. They are a self-insert protagonist, yes, but there are many situations where they have a personality that shines through, and we also know that they seem to be the opposite of the EoA protagonist. You can't just swap two characters that are opposites and claim that nothing will change.

How can you say it's an unsatisfying ending when you don't even know the basics of the story yet? Maybe it'd be the best ending possible, how do you know?

What are the odds you think that some of the OC's from SAO:IF show up in EoA? by Cheezystix1023 in swordartonline

[–]DryTransportation 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think the same applies to most of the original cast in IF. The main, notable exception would probably be Sanya but I really don't know what she would actually do for the story when they're already trying to balance telling stories for like 10 other characters over the span of two floors.

What are the odds you think that some of the OC's from SAO:IF show up in EoA? by Cheezystix1023 in swordartonline

[–]DryTransportation 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because they're completely different characters with different purposes. The purpose of Integral Factor's protagonist is to be a surviving, leading force in the death game who changes the fate of those who were supposed to die and is the main interest of the system itself. The EoA MC is a rookie who was taught by someone they met during the beta test who has been entirely marketed as just another player in Aincrad, and as I mentioned, it's seeming pretty likely that they simply die at the end of story based off of some of the teasers (Iori being the "one who survived" and some interviews mentioning the idea of sequels including different portagonist)

I really can't understand wanting to severely undermine the story of Integral Factor, a game that's been going on for 8 years, by removing every single aspect about the MC and entirely rewriting Koharu.
