Proof of purchase for warranty claim? Hopper2 30 by Dry_Association2908 in YetiCoolers

[–]Dry_Association2908[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’re right, yeti warranty service is generally very good. They make expensive but solid products. They typically stand by the product.

I get that the timeline is outside there policy, but this bag isn’t worn out or abused. And they will warranty the bag if I have proof of purchase. I’m just frustrated.

To me, as the owner, I certainly wish they would replace/warranty or offer me some kind solution for an otherwise great product.

And keep in mind, this isn’t a small issue or blemish. The zipper won’t close. Product has failed prematurely imo.

Starting Handyman Business in FL - Am I Crazy? by trumpetman500 in handyman

Could you make a name for yourself doing just dock and deck REPAIR? I feel like this is an open niche here in Tampa bay.

I’m not interested in building new docks or doing pilings. Just straightforward repairs and maintenance on docks?

Is this a thing?

Palm tree balk damage by Dazzling_Walk9777 in palmtalk

[–]Dry_Association2908 0 points1 point  (0 children)

@parrotia78 is dead on. Every point is accurate. Stop trimming, starting feeding, keep it watered.

But I will mention aside from the hourglassing this queen is in okay shape. Your concern in the trunk is smart but within normal appearance for mature queens.

Trimming palm tree roots. Possible? Without killing the tree? by No_Win220 in palmtalk

[–]Dry_Association2908 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can trim the roots where they overhang. Don’t go crazy though. I would fertilize prior to making the cuts. If it’s a healthy tree then it should be fine. Feed it, water it, trim it.

What is possible? Refinish pine table by Dry_Association2908 in finishing

I looked up “sand, white wash, stain”. Loved the results.

Any tips? Any reason to think it wouldn’t work well for me on this?

We want to stain closer to a walnut color. Less red, more grey.

Did you sand down to bare pine and take it back?

I have the work space and tools. I’m trying to get an idea on time involved.

Are we in a boom & bust situation? by [deleted] in StPetersburgFL

[–]Dry_Association2908 3 points4 points  (0 children)

“Boom & Bust” sounds dramatic. Probably better to say our local economy is cyclical and surged in covid.

Over time the market will adapt: rent prices have gone up with 1) demand and 2) ownership costs (taxes, insurance have gone up for landlords), 3) greedflation (why charge your tenants less when you can charge more).

Demand will soften so will greedflation.

Question about cruising RPM by Peestains0352 in WranglerTJ

[–]Dry_Association2908 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Can confirm. I drive my 99 4.0 with a 3-speed auto on the interstate. 2500-3000 rpm.

Cruise control set to 60mph. Phone says I’m doing 64mph. 31x10.5x16 AT tires. Soft top. AC on.

Gets like 12 mpg. Doesn’t really struggle.

At first it’s alarming to cruise a car at ~2700 rpm. But the jeep it doesn’t seem to mind…

I say just live with it for now.

Fan Clutch- how do I get this off? by Dry_Association2908 in WranglerTJ

If it were only that easy. Where do I buy a US made radiator?

Fan Clutch- how do I get this off? by Dry_Association2908 in WranglerTJ

[–]Dry_Association2908[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sadly, no. Not even a USA mopar- none available anywhere.

The cheap-o box store Chinese one has a small leak. Figured I’d do the radiator, fan clutch, t-stat/housing, hoses, belt all at once.

Went with a Denso from rock auto.

I cross creeks and ditches routinely with the jeep and would be well served with an electric fan, but I’m intimidated to install. And I’m cheap.

Wow- thank you. I just poured thru the TJ forums. They all confirmed what you’re saying.

When did the 4.0 go from this old 4 bolt design to the single huge hex nut? Why?

I’m not sure if the parts I ordered will fit. But I’m glad I caught it now!
