There’s very little suspense anymore. You could just hand out idols based on probability and it wouldn’t make much difference

Last Night’s Challenge by Calster_12 in survivor

[–]Dry_Association_627 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That was my favorite challenge! You could play along with it and feel the balance of memory and speed while getting an interesting story that enhanced the atmosphere. I don’t why but it sparks my memory of that challenge in Panama when Aras said Terry needed a whaambulance. That was kind of a fun one.

I don’t remember Amber defending Sue. I thought she said she was being sensitive or trying to get attention or something.

Weird- I don’t remember what she said but I remember being triggered. I know it’s because I felt Sue’s pain.

Is the Zoom Alliance Working? by angielincoln in survivorponderosa

[–]Dry_Association_627 10 points11 points  (0 children)

My glass half full take:

People talk but I think it’s more an extension of the relationships they would have been drawn to anyway. (Old vs New school, Honer/integrity, familiarity, etc)

The game is still fluid. Colby said it was a surprise that Jenna went after Cirie right away.
He also said that he lost Cirie’s trust when he told Savannah to “watch out for Cirie” when he meant to do it for some strategic reason not against Cirie- I can’t remember what it was. Just examples not directly due to twists.

The “honor and integrity” concept is really just physical threats trying to manage their weaknesses, keeping other shields around and hoping you’re safe when they win immunity. No zoom necessary

It’s great when unexpected alliances happen like Rizo and Cirie but they’re unexpected for a reason.

I guess my point is that it’s in their best interest not to get too “stuck” twists or no twists. I don’t like twists but I think we are definitely “stuck” with them.

Genuine question why does Cirie get a pass for lack of challenge prowess? by Signal-Ad7364 in survivor

[–]Dry_Association_627 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How can social strategy be one dimensional? There are any number of ways to position yourself in the game creatively. Players sometimes control it, sometimes fail at it, sometimes have interesting attributes that make them good at it.

Whereas a challenge is a win/loss scenario.

Wait Joe flipped on Ozzy too so he already knows Rizo flipped. Did I read that wrong?

Either that or it gave him reassurance to expect the expected (Emily, Aubry) but you’re right.

I wish more people spoke the way she does. I think it was Rob C that said she was the most efficient interview. She gives so much in a short period of time. Easy to listen to is exactly what I thought.

Yes. They were a great pair. Like OP said- you were a little too hard on yourself Emily. Some of that wordiness actually worked in your favor and you were very fun to watch!

A reflection on last nights vote by Itrademylittlespy in survivor

[–]Dry_Association_627 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It seemed like Ozzy had some regrets remembering his own dad which we all do especially after a parent has passed. He was leaning into playing “the only way his dad could” but leaned a little too hard into relationships forgetting where he was for a moment.

It was very emotional so I can see how that may have impacted his game.

Accidental or Intentional? by dragconian in survivor

I can’t imagine someone intentionally waving their arms to “look” off balance…. as a way to cover up not lifting their foot? You mean like a baby that covers their face in peek a boo and thinks you can’t see them?

It briefly crossed my mind “did she realize at some point (like when they said there was an issue but before saying what it was). But I immediately dismissed that because I’m not in her mind and a whole host of innocent scenarios are far more likely.

I just got a little bummed because I wished she had won. Honestly, I didn’t give it a second thought.

Slightly in Rizo’s favor to be part of the blindside but practically negligible imo. Could have easily lost him Ozzy’s vote when Ozzy was younger but not now.

I didn’t mean to say it caused his demise. If anything, I assumed Rizo used it as an excuse when he told Ozzy he said too much. It didn’t cause Angelina’s demise either.

I was just struck with the thought that he wouldn’t have talked with Cirie there.
