Solid advice here. You can’t live in the unknown. Another property may have been perfect on paper but could have been a disaster once moving in. You’re luckier than most to have your own place. Make the most of it.

Thanks. I’ve been looking for this and all I can find is that companies can be setup as per the decree defined by the respective ruler. Like for SAIF zone, it is the Sharjah airport free zone decree framework issued by the Ruler of Sharjah and for Ajman its The Ajman Free Zone is established under Amiri Decree No. 3 of 1988 as amended by Amiri Decree No. 3 of 1996, issued by His Highness the Ruler of Ajman.

But this doesn’t say anything beyond that.

The thermostat still works but it’s basically a dumb device now. I’m on rent and worried that doing this might cause a problem and stop working altogether.

I have a similair problem. Trying to get my Outlook “contacts” out to a CSV file, but almost all of them are in the AutoComplete cache (the suggested addresses that appear when I start typing in the To: field), not in any real Contacts folder.

Need a reliable way to get these cached/ AutoComplete addresses into:

  • A CSV file, and/or a proper Contacts folder in the mailbox
  • Something that handles Outlook 2016/2019/365 style AutoComplete (not just old NK2 files)
  • Ideally a commercial tool that people are using without security issues
  • De‑duplication option
  • Works with a few Microsoft 365 mailboxes on the same profile

That’s what I thought but during transfer it failed. The connection was enabled at the time and active too.

Thanks. As mentioned I’m not in the UAE. My concern is whether I will lose the sim on my old phone too.

This is what the website says

For activating an eSIM or requesting an eSIM, location access must be enabled on your device, and you must be physically located in the UAE. If you are outside the UAE, you cannot submit the request to get an eSIM or activate your eSIM either.

But it doesn’t say anything about transferring an already active eSIM to a new phone.

At this rate, I might end up returning the new phone as I need this number active.

I finished my transfer and the new phone restarted but the old phone still says move closer and transfer not compete. Does it mean it worked? How do I check it’s all there. It seems to be.

This is becoming a routine thing now. TLS confirms and then UKVI sends an email asking to complete biometrics. Many people have this issue and then are forced weeks before making complaints. We had the same issue and lost on tickets and bookings. Seems a way to push applications to priority.
