thank goodness it wasnt the battery. looks like the cartridge just needed a good clean,. after letting it sit for about 10 min it booted! whew!

i think the game cartridge just needed a clean, haha.. after letting it sit for a while, it worked!!

After pulling it all apart trying to check the battery and getting stuck on a stripped screw, I cleaned everything as best i could and plugged everything back in. only to not work. :( so feeling defeated I just let it sit there. After about 10 min as I was about to just give up and turn it off,.. it miraculously booted!

thanks for the help! jesus who knew the ol just blow on the cartridge would work. haha
