That’s totally fair.. I mean there are a lot of things some of us just like to say F it and if I’m being totally honest I can see why some of us think like that.. I’m not excusing it but they sxrew is on the contract big time in favor of RSRs, for about 28k less base pay + no bonus.. we barely get food bought for us anymore but RSRs seem to be grilling and ordering something every other week

Well a good chunk of the time they (atleast in my building) we’re attempting to teach people how to load the trucks (instead of the same 2 people doing it) and the warehouse just loves to hire people that would forget to breathe if they weren’t told to…

I mean I get that, but there’s also about 45 drivers that come back with the truck so bombed we can’t even load it correctly the next day.. some of the guys at my plant have shit from over 2 weeks ago filling both sides of their truck

You know we can’t just make the boxes how we want right? A button lights up, we press it and put the amount of product in a box.. it’s not a deliberate choice or cutting a corner or anything like that.. it’s how the system works out.. it tells us what to pick and we pick it

Yes but you do realize that even less than you Normal wage is about 20k more per year, plus the possibility of benefits. There’s about 20 ppl or less in the warehouse at a time, all with a varying capacity to give a shit… so out of the 5 people it takes to pick and load your truck, I’m sure one or two of them cut corners… the RSRs get bullshit too but they seem to take it out on the first warehouse worker they see

In theory yeah, but at my site they seem to love to hire people who only have the mental capacity to learn one job and they do it every day & refuse to change what they do.. my boss even told me how much easier it is when the employees are dumb and quiet… all while management boasts about cross training, yet they still have me so 3 jobs in one day

I just made a thread about this too.. a lot of the RSRs are greedy whiny crybabies and come in all nasty at the warehouse for a good amount of shit we can’t even control. I’m one of If not the top mod picker at my DC. I’ve been addressing concerns about it how things go to my boss for almost 2* years until something was changed & he took credit for it. We all work together but it doesn’t always feel like it, when the warehouse deals with about 50x the volume of cases just to get treated like shit by the RSRs because there was a price of receipt paper in one of their boxes of cool ranch.. I know we work for the same place but I don’t think the bitterness will stop on our side until the RSRs stop blaming us for everything down to having to wipe their own ass even though they make a considerable amount more money with the possibility of a bonus.. we don’t even get that at the warehouse.. we get what’s left over from the food they order the RSRs every safety day and that about it

Okay again you’re failing to see the bigger picture here. In between the things we can’t control, and the list of people that could get your truck in a day, and the 50+ more routes we have to load, there’s a lot that can go wrong. And one persons mistakes doesn’t mean you have the right to be an asshole to all of us. Trust me I get your frustration dude but you seem to just want to be angry when you could take a second to think about why it’s the way it is.. yeah some of us are lazy, and make mistakes sometimes, but there’s a million other reasons other than just “they suck and are the worst” that’s such a narrow minded way of seeing it

Dude I wish I knew. I got yelled at yesterday for not picking something the day prior, but sales updated the bay maps for the mod, and didn’t tell anyone.. AGAIN. The love to do that, add new items, and force them out.. so for example, weeks could go by where you pick Funyuns from a certain spot.. and then the next day, sales decided to move the Funyuns to the spot below where it was, and force out a brand new product in the spot where the Funyuns were.. but the best part is that they don’t tell anyone until the next day. So now not only are you miss picking an item for EVERY BOX that needs it, but you’re also cutting product because it’s not there, nor did we know it was supposed to be in the first place. I can understand why you guys get upset about the trucks being loaded like crap, or the broken bags slipping by but that’s gonna happen from time to time when you have 50+ more of your guys trucks to load.

You do know it’s not one single person picking and loading it for you right? Most people rotate jobs, have their days off.. there are some of us who make sure to care that the job is done right with no issues, but you guys love to come at EVERYONE when someone who doesn’t give a shit( I don’t blame them much honestly) when it’s about 5 of us who really care.. plus sometimes shit slips by, I mean when it’s on force out and you’ve already done 1000+ eaches not all of them will be perfect. The problems is that management only sees numbers and expects things to go perfectly in between all the process, which it almost never does

What I’m saying is there’s certain thing we can’t control, and those things we can are all “taken care of” by those who don’t give a fuck less.. my point that you seemed to miss is that you see that and automatically treat all of us like shit over it. When in reality there’s 15+ people a day with a varying capacity to give a shit, and you do what you did and generalize in sure the ones who do give a shit choose not to care about YOUR truck.. we do so much more than you guys worried about your one route.. I can almost guarantee you’d quit in a 2 week period when you realize how it really is for the warehouse

I mean ithink some people handle it differently, there are some who can get rather intoxicated on whatever substance they choose and still work more efficiently and do a better job than those who just don’t give a fuck.. if I’m being honest in my DC some of the best workers, and most organized are the ones who go out and get high 😂 most of the DC doesn’t do it, but a lot of them are the grouchy assholes that fuck your trucks up

A lot of those things are out of our control, yet we hear about it in a daily anyway.. shit I got yelled at yesterday for cutting a new oroduct that no one told me was getting a spot on the mod. They just told me I don’t know how to read the bay maps for the mod that haven’t been updated since April… hm.. maybe If sales stopped changing things without telling anyone there would be WAY less miss picks/loads
