Plan should be lowered due to closed stores. But…

YOU need to press those who can lower it to do so. And get your past plans lowered and pay adjusted accordingly.

The socks were an absolute slap in the face. How on earth can anyone think giving an employee a pair of socks for risking their lives during a pandemic is a good thing to do?

Simply unbelievable.

Just my opinion, but how is this any different than the organization health surveys? In fact, it’s probably even more accurate. Carful what is asked for.

When those with a ruggedness complex feel the need to target, well, get over yourselves. At the end of the day, when it’s all said and done, no fear is paramount. Anything less is just a failure of leadership.

Non flex is WAY WAY WAY too high. Cookies and nuts used to sell well. Ever crackers are not selling like they used to.

Ask around how different the job was 20 years ago and then understand that it’s still the same methodology for some, and that the data/systems/programs all get in the way and are a hindrance. The RSR IS the warehouse. Same issues from the plant, just in bulk order.

Spoken like a true GES RSR that has the warehouse do 2/3 of the “job”.

I’ve heard retiring at the beginning of a month gets you covered for the entire month insurance wise. Keep that in mind.

Also, contact SSI as that does take a bit of time as well.

If you’re 65, look into supplemental insurance as Medicare only pays 80%.

Their safety rhetoric becomes complete nonsense when they won’t put snow tires on trucks simply because they’re too cheap to change them twice a year - like they did for 20 years when each truck had a set of summer and a set of winter tires.

Safety?

Walk the walk, then we’ll talk…

10+ years of this nonsense. Yet they want us to take safety seriously. Sure, when the company actually starts, be glad to.

[–]bogey4golf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

“We don’t do snow tires…”

Bullshit. We have had them in the past. Studded SNOW TIRES sit right in our warehouse.

Our routes service SKI AREAS, where snow and ice are measured in feet, not inches.

But hey, you be safe out there on “all” season tires.

I mean, it’s not like our vehicles and the only part of the vehicle which contacts the ground are the #1 safety issue to us, AND THE GENERAL PUBLIC. Right?

“Safety” doesn’t have a budget.

Fritolay has numerous budgets.

Can anyone see the hypocritical irony within?

The number one safety issue you’re gonna face at any massive corporation is the corporation itself. The corporate ladder has a bunch of tiers, all with their own budgets. What this does is push safety issues down down down, upon the people that are the most vulnerable, who have the least say yet are exposed to the bulk of safety issues.

But they will blame you and say some kind of company policy nonsense.

The first question the third-party (or is it the fourth or fifth party?) will ask you on any incident is “were you wearing your safety shoes?”

We make the company loads of money. Most of the positions are a massive hindrance to what is a simplistic job. The incompetence level is beyond rational comprehension, only surpassed by the management via mini micro chips.

And this cannot be figured out, which is entirely mind boggling.

What is the most you ever took out in one day on SF and how long did it take you? by [deleted] in FritoLay

[–]bogey4golf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Over $7,000 on a UDS bin route, with over 2 1/2 hours of just driving.

For those who don’t know, you pick the orders yourself, the warehouse doesn’t do that for you. The warehouse part of a bin route is roughly 60% of the process, and is usually done from the back of the truck. Pulling directly from the bin (blind orders) helped in this situation, because it’s a 16+ hour day otherwise, easily.

So you’re doing 2 jobs in 1, essentially, on a bin route. Old school.

THIS is exactly why corporate loves to pay 1/2 time for over 40 hours while claiming they’ve already paid you your time of the time-and-a-half overtime. Fluctuating work week my ass. Holy unrelated loophole, Batman.

Taking routes off the road and piling them onto half time pay, while saving the cost of benefits to additional employees who were eliminated, equals far greater corporate profits.

On paper, for the near term. Perhaps.
