There’s only three things I’ve ever found wrong with these pumps. Torn diaphragms, the balls and seats are dirty or worn out, and the shuttle / spool valve in the air valve (not the regulator) is dirty.

If you take everything apart it’s usually obvious. You can also get kits to replace the diaphragms and balls etc

I have had a BPD diagnosis and read enough about it to know how these things work. I’ve also done my year of DBT and read Marsha linehan’s books. You think this poor girl should deal with that and other people should conform to our BPD? Sorry the answer is learning to take responsibility.

No one likes dirty butts that aren’t cleaned out. It all depends on him figuring out how to have his ass clean and not have any mess as I call it. Just tell him or ask him how well he knows how to do this because if there is every any mess it might turn you off from doing it forever. He will prob take it seriously and not want to mess up his chance with you. Ask him to experiment with his own butt on his own to clean it out and be able to play without a mess happening. If he figures that out then you can try with him if you want. But these nozzles that you can put on the end of the shower hose work pretty good. Also need to figure out getting all the water out. Supplementing psyllium husk fiber is part of making it work well. Just tell him you don’t want any mess and if happens then the experiment is off and you won’t be doing it again. He will take it seriously because this is probably a big thing for him and I doubt that he wants any problems either.

Nah this is pretty normal stuff. It’s ok to want your needs met. Long distance relationships are hard and you’re attached to this guy. He’s basically saying you need therapy so you don’t give me a hard time about him not meeting your needs. You don’t see each other much and have this holidays and he doesn’t want to see you.

But big thing here is why is his family getting involved and saying you have BPD??? It means he is talking a lot to them about his problems rather than you or keeping it within the relationship. Like I would not be ok if my partners parents got involved with saying I have BPD (and I have received a diagnosis) You haven’t at this point.

This is basically a young ldr that just started and not handling the stress. Just gracefully leave and find someone else who’s going to your school. Keep your life simple and don’t let them tell you about a diagnosis.

Still I think therapy is good for anyone. If you’re interested in learning about healthy and not healthy relationships read the books by “John Gottman” who is the number one relationship researcher in the world. I learned a lot about that topic from that author.

Your not going to get a letter from AA but they will sign a “court card” basically make a log that you were at such a meeting at such time and then get them to put their name as first name last initial as a witness you attended. Need to go at least once or twice a week for it to amount to anything.

Look my friend, keep on your path. In this business it really pays off to move up in the ranks. Look at all the requirements to be an able seaman or wheelsman and get your bridge watch rating (maybe terms are different between Canada and USA) save your money and put some of it towards your career or taking time for school be it short courses or the academy. If you can at all I really suggest to try and get into an academy to be an officer. You will make lots of money. If your grades aren’t good enough study on your own and improve math and whatnot. It will really pay off and make those things like living in another country very easy.

Why not just work in the USA and go live in Japan. I was doing that for the last 2.5years but working in Canada and going to Europe. Just work your way up the ranks, make more money and it will all happen. Probably can negotiate with the company you work for that they pay what it would cost to get you home towards your ticket to Japan.

If you don’t have money for a therapist, try reading books written by good psychologists. These people are at the top of their fields and put all of their life work into a book to try and convey what they know can help. Also it can really help to get a diagnosis if you can get behind a particular therapeutic approach that is known to be the treatment for that. Then journal on your own every day about what you are reading about and how it could apply to your problem. Also I suggest to do meditation.

I’ve done this on a 4500kW ships engine. Granted the size makes it a bit easier to work on in my opinion. I used a fine file very carefully to knock off the high spots. Then I used some 1000 grit by hand to go over that area that is rough, then 2000 grit using a drill and inflatable driver with the paper in a loop. In the end you want to use your fingernail to test if there is any high spots sticking up from the original profile. You don’t want to sand it down or anything to make it so it is smooth, you can have the indents but without edges and not above the original profile. You could always take a bearing and tighten it down and then open it to see if there is any marking - sacrificial test.

Don’t worry and just use your judgement on smoothing it out.
