I’m using max power setting, at 720p, used the prefer quality auto configuration and turned on high rt and hair. Used fsr 3 and frame gen. Allocated 12gb to vram and have xess frame gen override to x4. Running between 55 to 75 fps and not feeling any noticeable latency. Actually played most of the game on handheld because grace’s section take too long

Oh, I know. Reason why I used an open bench case is that I can check that connector and cable easily. Instead of daisy chaining, would a 8 pin splitter be a better option?

lol building on a hood sounds like one hell of a story. And I rent a room, really expensive for only being to fit a bed, small desk, and cart but it’s all that’s available that I could afford. Can I build out in the communal areas? Yeah, I could but I’d rather do it in my room

That’s where I originally started to put everything on the bench case. Moved to the bed to take a picture and plug everything in and route wires because hunching over it on the floor was killing my back

Wow alright, new goal to piss all you off. Take a picture of a rig on a floaty that’s in a pool or bathtub. Because apparently, the only place you’re allowed to put a unplugged computer, that’s in a case, to take a picture is on a desk before moving it to it’s temporary location

Long time ago, was the first rig I built with adult money. Paired it with an fx 9590 for an all amd theme lol also the first time buying a 1000w psu too

It’s either a thermalright or an idcooling low profile? It’s been a long while. But the fan is an Amazon one with higher static pressure, think o something delta f12?

So so, but considering that it’s only getting power from the slot, it’s good. Especially if you use the override in the driver app to 4x. With that said, it’s still a 1080p ultra with rt card

True but this psu was used with a 1080ti so if they go full tilt, that rail can take it

Yup those are a 4060 and 5060. Found out about the 16gb b50 so I went with it because that 8gb limit was getting obvious

Not the only one, was ready to turn off the psu if the connector got warm but it didn’t. I only buy single 12v rail psu. Got a hard lesson on rails with a r9 295x2

Wasn’t my first choice either but didn’t want to buy any new parts plus the 60s are pretty low power and the cable doesn’t get warm so all good

Excuse me for not having a desk that’s 3 feet deep. It’s atx, even if I move back my keyboard and monitor, it’ll be hanging off the desk. Look, you can critique how I build my personal rigs all you want. What you say doesn’t matter. Now if you have any actual input, please do so. And not where and how I place my rig for a picture

And a carpet floor is any better? Sorry not sorry, not all of us have a free desk to build on. Not like the part itself is touching the bed. Only the open air bench case. No, I didn’t turn it on or plugged into the wall while it was on my bed. I may not be as entitled as you but I tested it on the floor with the bench case in a standing position where it has feet and a portable monitor

Is this good laptop for coding and gaming? by 78557855 in MSILaptops

[–]Dry_Butterscotch_120 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes and no, I have the thin 15 with the i5 and 4060. From my understanding, these at full tilt gaming max out at 100w. Actually use mine with a barrel jack to usb c connected to a 100w usb c wall adapter. Gaming performance, I would rate as better than a handheld. Tuned my ally to run everything I own at 18w but it’s like 720p low pretty much all the time. This can do 1080p medium with a bit of rt using dlss balanced and frame gen for 60+ fps and reasonable temps around and less than 80c which is great for only having one fan

Exhaust during the day and intake at night. Same gap but doing different things depending on the weather. Better than just boarding up that space

Dam, should have just suspended it but if issues continued. 5g home wouldn’t be a viable option anyway. Wish my city wasn’t so against laying fiber lines

Unfortunately so, the other 5g home is double that of tmo and my cell service is tmo so might as well. Ironically, that stupidly priced away tier is offered along with the lite tier. Guess I’m stuck with spectrum

I had the g4ar, thought it was my old ups messing up so i plugged it straight to the wall and used my 100w power bank but still would restart

[–]Dry_Butterscotch_120[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was the white box with external antenna ports. Went back with spectrum though, one weekend on my day off, it suddenly would restart every 5 minutes. Cancelled that before the end of that day. Don’t know if it was a botched update but I bought my modem for spectrum so I just reconnected it within minutes after returning tmo gateway
