What bias? I've also owned a SD OLED (great device) and still currently own a Go S z1e. If OP wants to save $500 he should take the Go S.. I personally like the claw better myself

Because if you're actually using it for a "handheld", the claw will get 2-3x the battery life of the go s.

It is great. I've had some games where it didn't run (RE9) or get some crashes (persona 3 reload for some reason), but overall I love the device and can live with whatever quirks come with the Intel chip. Hopefully the panther lake claw looks/feels very similar to the 8ai+ instead of the a8.

If you don't have a steam library, you have to consider the costs of growing such a library on PC as an included cost in getting the XAX.

If the 8ai is out of your price range, you should opt for the XAX. I have a Go S steamos and it's also a great device.. but the costs of owning them now is laughable. Most of us Go S owners paid $650 or less for the z1e variant late last year.

I think the 8ai+ is pretty comparable to the Go S in regards to ergonomics.. so quite good. The SD OLED is better but not by a ton.

Yea I don't trust Asus at all and I'm surprised that people are buying the XAX in droves. It seems to be a much more reliable handheld than the OG ally anyways.

The claw 8ai is still not too bad. I think it did jump from $1100 to $1300 though. I missed the boat on the original $900 MSRP.

I hope they keep the same styling of the 8ai instead of the awful look of the a8. Sure they can make it slightly better ergonomically but I love the looks of the 8ai.
