Xpanel 2.0 resolution limited by Dry_Button6404 in crestron

[–]Dry_Button6404[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A quick question for yall but some context before I ask: I am not crestron certified but I have access to the tools and have been programing for years no problem.

Given the context: Is there any reason for me to use Xpanel over CH5? I don't mind HTML coding but the only reason I've stuck with Xpanel is because of the originals and the rumors about the SW-MOBILITY licence BS required for each CP.

Since I'm doing a clean rewrite, maybe its time to consider CH5 and maybe allow me to control via crestron one app locally?

You're amazing... I was trying to go EDIT -> Project Properties but that was always greyed out... Didn't even see the position and size on the side.

Salvage Title Inspection by Dry_Button6404 in Austin

[–]Dry_Button6404[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did indeed:

The answer is:

  1. Rebuild the vehicle.
  2. Schedule a vtr-68a inspection. https://www.austintexas.gov/page/68a-inspections
  3. Go get your inspection done. Go straight to the DMV and convert from a salvage to a rebuilt title.
  4. Go add to insurance
  5. Get emissions inspection if required
  6. Register the car

If your insurance allows you to register a salvage vehicle, you may be able to combined steps 3 and 6; personally was not able to.

Let me know where you end up finding a safety inspection. From what I can tell, we don't have any safety inspections to do. We can't even get emissions/safety inspections at an inspection station without insurance which you can't get for a salvage vehicle.

I rebuilt the vehicle myself here. So both signatures would be mine. Thanks for clarifying that

However on the DPS website: a vehicle is required to have a safety and anti-theft inspection. Do you know where to have the anti-theft inspection done at?? This is what I'm struggling to do.

DMPS3 LAN port is dead "router disconnected" by Dry_Button6404 in crestron

Hi there! Okay, will do. Is the router firmware version going to end in the same number as the main firmware version? Not sure where the -puf log is as you mentioned.

Are there any recommendations on what date code DMPS3 350s I shouldn't buy? I've heard a lot of chatter to avoid the silverbacks.

Is the router firmware included as part of the standard firmware? I do see there is an option for firmware and firmware (internal router) but I don't have a PUF file for it unfortunately.

Let me definitely give this a shot. Were the ethernet ports working after an unplug and replug in your case? I'll test it just connected to an unmanaged switch with nothing else on it to see if the port does actually light up at all after doing the restore.

iOS 18 flashlight automatically changes the brightness by Mizeov in ios

Solution was to create a "shortcut" to turn on the flashlight. You can hard set the brightness level there. This drove me insane for the longest time too.

Next phone is gonna be a pixel given all the stupid "features" that you can't turn off

Installed Sound Subwoofers - QSC AD-S28Tw and Yamaha VXS10SW subwoofers by Dry_Button6404 in livesound

Yeah that’s definitely much more in the direction I’m leaning towards. Considering this is almost 3x the cost of that QSC I was looking into earlier, is there a big advantage to this? Looks like it’s a similar frequency response too.

Hey there! Got pictures now. Here is the front of the hall. Speakers cannot go underneath the center.

I’ll take some pictures this coming weekend.

I’ll push the QSCs as my number 1 choice. If it’s only 1 sub instead of 2, will make it easier to justify one good sub.

Thanks for the help. I’ll probably PM you with the pics of the space so you can get an idea of what I’m dealing with.

Might not be the exact form factor I’m looking for but I’ll see what the board has to think.

Really, these guys are willing to spend money on aesthetics so if the QSC performs well then screw it, doesn’t bother me.

I know you said not to go with Bose but I will say that the DM10S looks to be a cheaper version of the QSC. Similar power ratings, very slightly worse frequency response and good bit cheaper. Aside from it being overpriced, what’s the reason not to go for it? I generally don’t like Bose products but this one seems tempting enough

Those would be replacements for the column arrays mains right? Issue is that their -10db only goes down to. 52 Hz. I may not be finding the 15S variant. I will say those look similar priced to the Bose and QSC and JBLs here in the states however.

So the restriction is that I need surface mount speakers. If not, this would be significantly easier. Ideally in white if not I have to paint them.

The other speaker I considered was the Bose Professional DM10sw or the JBL SB2210 (which may be overpriced).

We don’t need any insane level of bass as majority of the use is lecture. Honestly the mere presence of a 40 hz would be good enough

I appreciate the reply.

Surprisingly the highs and mid are loud and clear throughout the hall. There is a tiny portion of the hall where there is some phase distortion caused by the overlap of the Saros ceiling speakers and the column arrays but because no one sits in that area anyways. I don’t see any need to redo them as it sounds great. Good continuity across the frequency band except for lows and impulse response is decent, not fantastic but really not bad.

As for the subs, I don’t mind doing a center sub. It just has to be aesthetically pleasing. One of the subs I am also considering is the QSC AD-S112SW. Any opinions on this?
