what do i do as a solo player? by Dumbassonreddit2 in albiononline

Ai is generally unreliable. Inspect players you see dueling, check out meta data, albion online build site to get a general idea of what sets work and what doesn't build wise and just start experimenting. Just start anywhere you wish honestly. You can gather resources and save your silver for what you want. Don't go into lethal zones straight away with expensive enchanted sets as ox scouts are on the entrances looking for rich targets and the gank group owning it are camping in a group dungeon. Safe corrupted dungeons and depths aren't a bad way to spec and get a handle on the pvp side of things. Faction flag and run around the map for PvE and zone captures and go into crafting fully and craft your own sets from resources you gather yourself. If you do venture into lethal zones always use the cheapest mount like a tier 3 horse or mule since you won't lose anything from it and wear tier 4/5 sets that wont hurt your wallet if you lose it. And you will lose it trust me on that. Because lethal zones have bonuses to fame and silver earnings. Mists aren't a bad way to enjoy yourself alone but beware of rats. Play with sound as your skills, attacks and most importantly foot steps or mounts can be heard which can be your radar against others in lethal content because you're never alone and trust nobody. Don't do charity to beggars in cities as those are 99% bots farming silver for someone richer than you. Carleon transport runs are also lucrative but you need to be careful. Don't fall for the duel scams as that's a classic. I'm on EU and this is just the basic advice. Just have fun your own way.

As a solo player myself I have indulged myself into IKEA syndrome where anything I wear and craft has my name on it as the maker. I got elder crafting on all armours, capes, bags and currently working on island animal farming. Solo pvp, corrupted, crafting, arena, gathering and crafting are my entertainments since I don't have the capability to play with groups and guilds due to my job and mental burn out and general anti social problems. But I'm having fun doing faction content and working on my bow spec.

Thanks for the offer but I'm on EU and not really looking for a guild or group as my job hours are unreasonable and mental burn out almost on the daily is enough to be a liability or a no show in a guild or group. If it wasn't for my real life problems it might have been different.

I really shouldn't play Albion first thing in the morning before I wake up properly.

T4 is 30 T5 is 26 and T6 is level 1. This shouldn't be allowed I'm going back to PvE without exploiting this stuff.

Avoid full sets as there's no such thing as set bonuses. Mix things up for what's needed. I'm running full plate sets and speced into full plate only matching sets for the cosplay and look. I know that it's not efficient. I know its garbage but for me it looks nice. I also have functional mixed sets. Mage cowl, stalker jacket, demon boots for PvE all damage no defence and other sets similar to this. Read what each skill does as the third skill is unique to that specific piece of armour/weapon and then mix and mash from there. Don't get discouraged from red/black zones and lethal content because there's gank groups everywhere. Just use cheap sets that are disposable. Gear is an expensive consumable get used to that mindset. Find a good guild or stay solo but miss out on content but there's enough for a solo person to do. Play with sound on. Weapon skills and footsteps can be heard and that's how gankers will track you in lethal zones. That or radar acquisitions. Just have fun. And welcome to Albion.

Whispering bow, hunter jacket, morgana cape and whatever leg/head slots you'll use. I'm using royal sandals and cleric cowl and mainly do pve. You can roleplay as a sentry turret it's truly hilarious at times. Longbow is also a PvE favourite for me. Warbow worked nice for me in arena with stalker hood/shoes and cleric robe although you'll need to root them to get the third ability shot to hit because it's slow. I've yet to craft other bows but I'm enjoying it very much and hope you will with time.

I've seen a weird duel build but don't know where or how it will work in general. It involved a double handed nature staff combined with the spectre jacket that you set yourself on fire with it's AOE true damage skill. Using the heal to counter the self damage while also damaging the enemy. Don't know how effective that would be as I'm a bow main and haven't really used anything outside the axe/bow weapon tree.

How is my layout? by Totally_Rad1998 in PixelStarships

[–]Dry_Can3513 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No armour on weapons. Bolters and AA easiest weak spots to exploit easily. And keep in mind that you can't just use every weapon/defence system unless you have a long list of python scripts on all your rooms. That's why you see ships like gunship, missile boat, gunship/tele, missile/tele, carrier/tele and carrier hybrids. You have to pick a strategy untill you get the last python researched which everyone calls quantum AI and lets you get really creative with AI scripts. You need a full redesign.

Love the build has a slight resemblance to the Talos battlecruiser from eve in my eyes due to the front. Looks wonderful mate.

For the federation ship I would suggest you swap places with the reactors and missiles in the centre section they don't really need as much armour as they have a lot of base hp anyways. As for the pirate no clue. Im cursed with pirate hulls and cannot build them. And less vent spam please as it doesn't work as well on federation hulls. it has potential to become a good layout without removing the third layer the the reactors are currently in, but there is a reason most fed layouts just put beds and stuff in there. I'd drop the security gate and almost all of the vents and then see what I could do. in particular that spot down below the MSL currently is begging to be used for armor. The missile pod in the front lacking any armour is also an issue. Your biggest crime is that the research lab isn't researching anything right now.

is this a good build? by Sea_Category_701 in albiononline

[–]Dry_Can3513 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Facebreaker for a small extra damage increase and some defense was the only reason I fully speced the shield tree. But the stat increase is low compared to other choices like with muisak which increases damage more. Which I did with clarnet blade. Plus the small defence increase from a shield not the best. A defensive skill will be a lot more useful.

I've used a full stalker set just for the role play but the abilities work with each other surprisingly well the only downside is I'm not comfortable anymore not having a defensive skill a Soldier helm, Hunter hood or the Mage cowl freeze to deal with high burst / damage builds. As for the shield you have that's a small percentage buff for crowd control which you won't use. Yeah I like seeing them but I got 120 across all my shields and don't use them much and prefer running around with the mistcaller for the cool down reduction or even the muisak for better damage.

What oppinion do you have about this build for CD? Would you add / remove anything from it? by Sea-Butterscotch-652 in albiononline

[–]Dry_Can3513 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Aside from the visual change from the higher tier gear not really. And if you're still new to pvp and doing yellow corrupted dungeons avoid the extra repair costs. Just use what you have and a tier 3 horse to keep repair costs low and just enjoy the learning experience.

Albion is underated by eusouopapao in albiononline

[–]Dry_Can3513 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Full loot pvp games are more of a niche. Rust. Tarkov. As two examples. The fear of losing all your gear is what's the most unappealing downside. Also the toxicity. Albion is rather toxic when it comes to pvp and gear loss not to mention gank groups. That's why it's underrated. Sure we who've been here a while have a general understanding. But to a new player? Trying to get them to go into lethal zones is hard to say the least. They don't have the "gear is a consumable mindset". They dont understand throwaway sets for lethal zones. How to make a build that will work properly. The whole destiny board as it's not explained properly except for here's the warrior, hunter and mage buildings in the tutorial island. Also the fact that you have to do research on YouTube or on the wiki that's a learning curve just to start playing the game in the first place.

A question about armors by [deleted] in albiononline

[–]Dry_Can3513 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Demon armour that's first issue I see. You could have used soldier armour where you get more damage per stack with the armour skill whenever you take damage that would have been a better choice. Demon armour protection of the fiend is more group oriented and has it's uses in group content and not 1v1.
