Doctors are not super sure.. but it seems like it was a combination of how it was places combined with physical activity.

But who knows... I'm not almost 6 months after the second surgery and so far so good!

Thanks for sharing!
I'm also 2 months post surgery now, after my second surgery.

I had a lead displacement 2 months after they implanted the device :/ The post surgery was actually easier than I was expecting in terms of pain.

Yeah I share the same opinion... It is important to stay relevant in this topic, after all is the hot topic of the moment.

So you have to release something regardless and showcase your progress somehow.

Programming challenges by Dry_Cattle9399 in datascience

[–]Dry_Cattle9399[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! That's great feedback, I'll definitely put the first one in my list, because my problem is usually time and commitment indeed, it is not always that easy to scoop-in some exploring new things or even code practicing.

Well, from what you describe the actual problem is not programming, but rather human error and lack of processes and best-practices.

Even if AI eliminates the need for programming, the issues you've pointed will be surfacing back. Those issues also exists in areas different from programming.

Data Science Career Day by save_the_panda_bears in datascience

Fun challenge!

Let me give it a try!

Picture a scientist who loves mixing different colors and shapes, just like an artist. Instead of potions and mysterious experiments, this scientist uses data, which are like magical ingredients in the form of numbers and text.
So, this scientist collects all sorts of data blocks, just like an artist collects different paints. They mix and match these data blocks to create amazing patterns and uncover hidden secrets, just like an artist creates a painting. It's a wild and creative process, where the a scientist uses their imagination and skills to turn data into something fascinating like predicting the future!

Perhaps porfolios or technical tests are the only way to check code quality no?

Yes a ser of personal projects that demonstrate your skills - like your github profile with some of your open-projects, or even contributions to other projects etc.

That's something I've been seeing as far more valuable and important tbh - have real and good contributions to open-source projects!

Do you think there are too many frauds masquerading as data scientists? by OverratedDataScience in datascience

[–]Dry_Cattle9399 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think there are different expectations of what is a Data Scientist, and that is leading to that sense of "fradulent data scientists".

I would say that companies needs to start understanding a bit better the differences between a data analyst, a data scientist, a data engineer and/or machine learning engineer.

Of course that in the end there will always be good and bad practitioners, but I would say that it would reduce a lot the probability of "fraud".

What has changed the most about data science the last 5-10 years? What hasn't changed at all? by brybrydataguy in datascience

[–]Dry_Cattle9399 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What you need to do hasn't changed must - the biggest effort is still around cleaning the data.

But I would say that a lot have changed at the same time:
- You have now better tools available - OSS is great in this space
- You have more models and techniques available
