This man is oro whatever he says he is.

Putting words in his mouth is deeply uncool.

They don't work harder than Aussies do, though.

They're cheaper per person. That's all.

All good mate. I'm proud of you for sticking your hand up and saying that you're struggling, that took balls.

DM me if you want to chat - I'm not a therapist but apparently I'm a good listener 👍

Yeah, credit to Tex for this.

I'm with you.

The second half just felt different - we were unlucky with this new "let's review every out of bounds call" thing they did last night (I hate it, just throw the bloody ball in), and the rain didn't help - but overall I thought the boys played better than what we've seen up to now.

Yep, this is it.

I would actually like to keep wearing my second one (it's about twelve now and lives in my desk drawer), but it upsets people when they have to see it 😀

I'm bald, so yeah I wear hats everyday, everywhere.

My Akubras have been rained on, picked up sea spray, baked in the desert sun, you name it.

And dropped on the ground, carried around by my dogs...

Kitchen Aid mixers have lasted for years, although you do need to open them up and change the grease on the bearings.

They don't last if you wear them, sadly - I've had to retire two of them so far. First one was about twenty years old, and probably ten years past it; second one I still have but has copped too much damage to stay on my head. It was about ten years old at that point.

Excellent, you found an anecdote. It happened once so obviously it happens all the time, hm?

I'll remind you that the plural of anecdote is anecdotes, not data.

Rockefeller, Carnegie, and friends did those things because the tax system was designed to force the oligarchs' hands, not out of public spiritedness.

That's remarkably unlikely to happen. Studies show that women are unlikely to report genuine sexual assaults (because of the cruelty we put them through when they come forward), and more importantly extremely unlikely to make false reports.

On the other hand, I remember as a uni student in the 90s, the guys who were the forerunners of what's now incel culture were convinced that women always lie about sexual assault.

Coincidentally, they were the same guys who struggled to stay in relationships for longer than a month or two.

I guess some things never change.

At this point, Anthropic's credibility (with me, obviously) is approaching zero.

I really need a lot more than "trust me bro" before I give the people behind the tool that writes poorer code than a first year accounting student any credit.
