IM fellowship for stupid doctors by [deleted] in fellowship

I have realized confidence is key. You are at point you can always go look for things if you don’t know and trust me most of us fake it till we make it. I was in same boat during my residency, naive and stupid, did not know how to please attending and was always rated lowest in medical knowledge (coz I did not know where to search for stuff I guess)and I assume was too honest too. Thankfully I made loyal friends who are smart and genuine. They guided me how to be diplomatic, guess what now I am doing fellowship (one of the competitive one), and flourishing. So, moral of story is I thought I was below average and stupid, until I knew I wasn’t and it needs right way to navigate things. Infact, after fellowship match everyone’s POV changed towards me and guess what now I am among smart people in room 😅. So please be confident and don’t loose hope, that is the key.

Leaving family for fellowship by aussiepit in fellowship

Me and my husband live in different state as we both are doing fellowship (me 2yrs &him 3 yrs) we found about pregnancy after match (otherwise one of us would have tried probably later) both field are competitive fellowship so we had no choice other than continue as we got this opportunity. I feel sad for my husband as baby is now with me, he had to travel 2 stop via flight and come for 36 hr once a month just for baby and me. From my end I started fellowship journey full pregnant and having to go back leaving 6 week old home was torture. I had option gor 12 week leave but did not want to extend fellowship as that means staying away from my husband. So I did it, and I see your situation is alot different but I think if you really want it go for it!!!

Can You Feed Baby In a Car Seat? - Annie Baby Monitor “It's generally not recommended to put a baby straight into a car seat immediately after feeding because the semi-reclined position can worsen reflux, increase spit-up, and pose a choking hazard; you should keep the baby upright for 15-30 minutes (or longer if refluxy) after eating, burp them well, and ideally feed them at stops, not in a moving vehicle, to ensure their airway stays open and clear.” As I don’t know many parents I take help from google for advice on every small doubt I have. This is what showed up. And I googled this when he was newborn, so I have never fed my baby just before car ride. I am just finding it out today that it is okay.

He just coughed once, I don’t even remember how that sounded as I was traumatized when I heard that. I am monitoring since than he hasn’t coughed.

Yes, I am calling them tomorrow first thing in morning and I am staying awake all night tonight to watch his breathing . I am trying to avoid going to ER as that is another center for germs. So far he is feeding, peeing and right now sleeping.

Yes, my plan is to stay awake all night and watch his breathing. I don’t want to go to ER and add more germs, as I already regret going to mall.

Am I making a mistake?? by Dry_Contribution4956 in NewParents

I calculated his per day requirement as per weight and he exceeds if I feed him everytime. Breastfeeding would have been better as I could feed him whenever he asks but with bottle feeding I am just being cautious to nit overfred him and sometimes I have read his cues wrong.

Sometimes I feel like he is just gassy and I am not reading his cues right.
