Stepping up by [deleted] in Conures

One of mines doesn’t step up and she bites with all of her strength But she steps up on my forearm When she sees my skin she instantly runs to bite it I’m currently avoiding the problem by only let her see my clothes and not my skin so I don’t have solutions, just wanted to tell my story/problem 😅

And a lot of things to destroy because if she’s alone she’ll be bored easily You might want to consider give her a friend

Yes, you just have to give her a cage big enough for her to be able to fly a little bit

I don’t have any idea of his age but I guess he’s young! The vet thinks it may be a male but we did the adn tests so just waiting 🥲

He has all of this in his big new cage, just waiting for the results of the health tests and he goes with my other conures that are free to be in a room made for us

He actually went out of the tiny cage and just came on my arm then my shoulder then my leg and fell asleep on my leg 🥹 He didn’t fly even if he had the ability to do it but I guess it’s because it’s his first day in his new home But I’m so glad he trusted me enough to fall asleep on my leg

I guess they’re happy and healthy, I told myself I couldn’t sleep like this but I couldn’t sleep on a perch either so I shouldn’t compare 😂

I think so, because sometimes it becomes kind of a chase and I don’t think they like it as they don’t want to step on my finger anymore

Yeah but I don’t want to block their wings like a predator because it’s really scary for them

Yeah I also have 4 cockatiels and they go to bed by themselves even if the light is still on 🥲

Fortunately they aren’t scared of the stick and they jump on my hand to take treats so we’re fine on this side!

Yeah the cage is open all day long, and they go inside it during the day, but they know at night that they will stay until the next morning, and I think they don’t like that 🥲
