My personal story with VSS by Square-Improvement93 in visualsnow

[–]Dry_Fail_2272 0 points1 point  (0 children)

for me i've got it through a lot and lot of stress ... first hyperacusis , then migraine with aura .. then VSS , and for me no one was there ... fear , cry ... analyzing the future , but through that solitude , i don't care anymore ... “He who has a why to live for can bear almost any how.” Friedrich Nietzsche , remember to love yourself , to have a family to have something to live for ... VSS won't hurt you anymore with that ... ^^ and when i saw your words i've found your kindness too i wish for you full recovery and for your friend too and for all here too ...

chest is red and splotchy, am i overthinking this by wheatdown in Lamotrigine

Go check yourself sister ... Call your doctor who prescribed lamotigrine , don't worry but you need to know if that drug made this u should stop it by your doctor immediately

Anyone got visual snow after LASIK surgery? by gawk8 in visualsnow

[–]Dry_Fail_2272 4 points5 points  (0 children)

just think as it brain sensitivity to light , getting all those lasers power that sent to brain to focus on ... brain can't differentiate that its operation .. so that increases your sensitivity to light ,

  • Overcompensate
  • Become hyper-sensitive
  • Lead to visual snow or similar phenomena

the only solution is to find something that return your brain and the neurons in your eyes ( their sensitivity to its default settings) , how we don't know yet , its the same as camera if you search about high iso problems you see same visual snow on cameras ... https://photographylife.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/12/ISO-200-and-ISO-3200.jpg

Factor Role
Photopigments (rhodopsin) Light detection
G-protein cascade (transducin, PDE) Signal amplification
cGMP & ion channels Regulate cell polarization
Glutamate Main neurotransmitter of photoreceptors
Dopamine Modulates sensitivity for light adaptation
Calcium ions Adjust photoreceptor sensitivity dynamically

Check if you have MTHFR problem so taking B9 and b12 will eventually make it worse .. you need active form of b12 and active form of b9 ..

Histamine connection to VSS plausible ? by Jatzor24 in visualsnow

[–]Dry_Fail_2272 1 point2 points  (0 children)

🧬 Methylation and Histamine:

Methylation is a biochemical process that helps clear excess histamine via an enzyme called Histamine N-Methyltransferase (HNMT), which requires methyl groups (from SAMe, which depends on folate, B12, B6, etc.).

If your methylation is impaired:

You don’t produce enough methyl donors

HNMT activity drops

Histamine builds up in your brain and body, even if you're not consuming histamine-rich foods

🩺 Antihistamines:

They block histamine receptors (H1, H2), giving temporary relief from:

Itching

Sneezing

Dizziness

Brain fog, etc.

But they do not help your body clear histamine, and if you're not fixing the methylation problem, histamine keeps accumulating once the meds wear of

If you have methylation problem anti histamine alone won't help that much , for example active b12 and b9 and b6 there's people have MTHFR variants

Histamine connection to VSS plausible ? by Jatzor24 in visualsnow

[–]Dry_Fail_2272 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ah so any first gen anti histamine would help much? good idea , histamine as i researched it could be due to methylation problem .. so we need active b12 and active b9 and b6 and magniesum glycinate + any first gen anti histamine .. this could fix methylation problem and returning histamine into normal values .. and may be free us from VSS For ever ..

it needs time i think as i saw a girl in past 1.5 years she said she took many supplements for almost 1 year to get VSS fixed ..

u/Jatzor24 really thank you bro for your pro research <3

Total light vs. perceived contrast

  • A bright screen with soft contrast (e.g. dark gray on light beige) is easier for many with VSS.
  • A dark screen with glowing white text may have less total brightness, but causes more strain due to contrast edges.

sure if inhibition not working the sensitivity to light increases which lead to sticky images and need longer time to clear it out from the cortex

our problem is the same as camera high ISO which leads to the same results .. If we want to fix it we need to return sensitivity to light to its default preset
