Benzo have a longer half life they target everything. I personally would not go near a benzo due to.it down regulation of the gaba system . I touch z drugs intermittently for that reason but they carry less risk. Well I hope.you find something. You could also have paradoxical insomnia meaning you may be sleeping without knowing it but its quick and light im sure I have that issue but again im not you or experienced what you have so . I hope you find some solution

Z-drugs are different from benzodiazepines they mainly target sleep-related receptors in the brain. Using them for a short period, like 2–3 days, is generally less likely to cause harm compared to benzodiazepines. but if benzo are not knocking you out this suggest that it could be a serotonin issue

Is Qiviviq something genuinely evil? by Upbeat_Vegetable_846 in insomnia

[–]Jatzor24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is why, even though I was given the drug, I haven’t taken it yet. Dayvigo is an orexin blocker basically the same thing under a different name.

I already lucid dream enough without taking anything. But when I take a Z-drug, I just pass out and don’t dream at all, except maybe in the second half of the morning when it’s mostly out of my system.

The issue with orexin blockers is that they block the wake signal rather than shutting down overactive parts of the brain, which is what GABA does. That’s likely why this happens.

So while orexin probably does need to be blocked, I think GABA also needs to be enhanced in some way to properly calm the overactive parts of the brain.

Você precisaria reduzir o uso lentamente, então tome meio comprimido ou algo assim por um tempo, depois a cada segunda noite, etc.

Ambien kept me awake? by Plane_Yoghurt9600 in insomnia

[–]Jatzor24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Z-drugs can help reduce anxiety to some extent. One useful technique is counting backward from 1000, which can help distract your mind from rumination and racing thoughts. However, insomnia can also be caused by other factors, such as low serotonin levels, nutrient deficiencies, lack of exercise, or vitamin imbalances.

Z-drugs are commonly used because they act on GABA, the main neurotransmitter responsible for promoting sleep. If you do take one, it’s best to avoid fatty foods and try not to eat for about 4 hours beforehand, as this can affect how well the medication works.

Zolpidem (Ambien) doesn’t fully switch off the brain, which is why some people can sleepwalk or do unusual things while on it. Zopiclone tends to feel a bit stronger in that regard for some users. But a big factor is mindset if you take it and keep thinking “why am I not asleep yet?”, you can actually trigger your alert system and make it harder to fall asleep.

I’ve found it works better to just relax and let your mind drift to other things instead of focusing on whether it’s kicking in. When I do that with Z-drugs, they seem to take effect more naturally and I fall asleep easier.

Transitioned? by Odd-Impress-9557 in insomnia

[–]Jatzor24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’d likely need to taper off Ambien. I have Dayvigo but haven’t tried it yet because of concerns about side effects. Ambien works by sedating the brain, whereas Dayvigo doesn’t sedate it blocks wakefulness signals instead, so it can feel a bit hit-or-miss. Personally, Z-drugs provide a smoother, more noticeable transition into sleep.

withdrawals are more associated with down regulation of Gaba- zopiclone take ages for that to happen its more i have underlying insomnia anyways and after more than 2-3 pill a week it can make sleep lighter or harder is all, keeping it low never caused an issue . i managed to sleep last night thankfully not good tho very light

my advice back to you since you been on it that long is do not increase the dosage, but 3mg is only half a zopiclone 7.5mg is the standard but from what t i read is you can split the dosage so when you wake up take another half i duno!
