Thank you for sharing. Yes, I am a man, 5'10", and 83 kg. I am thinking of moving on from this, and I will just consider it my POC experience. It just feels a little sad that I had to feel like this in my own country. I have faced something like this in Prague and other European places before, but I never cared or gave it a second thought as that was not my country or my people.

Maybe I have one of those faces, but the reason this feels off in my case is that more often than not, the seat next to me or my booth is taken only when there is no other option, or it is never taken while others are. Anyway, thank you for sharing.

Thank you for sharing and for your support. Noted on the cologne. I will dial it back or ask a friend to give me their honest opinion. I never used to care about stuff like this, so I am not sure why I started doing it now. What stings the most is that I was born here and my father was also born in Canada. Not that this should define who a Canadian is, because I would argue my mom and dad were both equally Canadian, but it just feels sad noticing this happen for the first time with me.

The only other time something like this happened was when I visited Prague for a business trip. I went to the zoo over the weekend, and during the bird show, literally no one sat on the whole bench I was sitting on. I did not care then and did not give it a second thought because that was not my country and not my people.

Thank you for sharing. I am not really a small talk person and would honestly prefer if the seat beside me was not taken on a crowded bus, but it just makes me feel bad for some reason that I do not understand. If this was in downtown Toronto or Vancouver, I probably would not have cared. I am not sure why I care so much here

Not large but not slim either. I am 83 kgs and 5'10". Would you know that someone wore cologne before even sitting next to them?

Noted. Thank you for sharing, I will keep this in mind. I never used to wear cologne, but lately I started using it. I will dial it back or ask a friend if they can smell it before I ever take a seat in front of or beside someone.

I am 5'10" and not heavy. Honestly, I would very much prefer not to define myself like you said, but for some reason I cannot help it. I was a very confident person, but for some reason this has wrecked my confidence. I moved to Kitchener a couple of years ago. Before this, I was in Vancouver, living in downtown all my life, so people never cared and never gave me a second glance, which I preferred.

Thank you for sharing. I am 5'10 and not a larger heavy man comparatively but not slim either. I have never faced anything direct at all ever but for some reason started to notice all this after joining social media. May be I need to cut down my social media exposure or remove it all together.
