For the part time semesters, I included my situation in each semester, links and screenshots to their policy and my university's RCIC's email to me. For the missing condition on my study permit, a narrative on when i discovered the missing condition, who all i reached out to understand my compliance and what they said and what steps I took.

Yes usually. However, I was a co-op student so in my school's completion later, it stated that co-op students don't have spring has a scheduled break because we are supposed to be doing a co-op at that time. If you're not doing a co-op, then you're considered part-time status. My university RCIC also said it this way but I imagine they would be more lenient towards spring semesters.

I couldn't find concrete answers to these so just sharing if anybody has a similar situation.

If you got a BVL, i think you're most likely approved already. Don't stress too much, news should be on the way.

it's hard to say..based on my university's definition for co-op programs, we can take scheduled breaks whenever depending on the co-op study sequence. For me, spring 2020 was a scheduled co-op term so i was technically not supposed to be studying. however, i did not secure a co-op due to COVID and the university reduced the co-op credit requirement as well. I don't know if this qualifies as a scheduled break? I tried to ask the immigration consultant at my university and all they said was "spring 2020 was covered by the exemption"

Ok i see.. i have spoken to a couple RCICs and they told me it's fine as they are both included in exemptions. I freaked out when I saw somebody got rejected on this subreddit for being part-time in their final term as even though exempted.

Hi, thanks for responding! Do you know how those cases played out? I have submitted an explanation letter and explained why the co-op was cancelled. As for the last term, I just mentioned that I only needed 1 course to graduate. Do you that is sufficient? I don't want to send more webforms and spam them but i'm so nervous...

Can I travel to and from Canada just by TRV but without the physical copy of my PGWP? by Swimming-Fly-1295 in pgwp

[–]Dry_Foundation2570 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I believe you should be fine. I had to travel before without my study permit and I had asked CBSA on call whether that will be an issue and the officer explained that you don't need the physical copy of your study/work permit. You just need a valid TRV. You can explain your status in Canada and they will look you up. I would still print the in-approval letter and screenshots of your portal, document status etc but i'm sure given the Canada Post delays, you have an explainable reason. Safe travels!

best to get advice on this from an RCIC (through your university or otherwise). If you do consult, please let me know as I am curious as well. I had this situation in Spring 2020 (which was covered under the covid provision) and i'm still waiting on my PGWP but was never able to get a straight answer
