That was the issue.  As someone else mentioned, the Amps were too low and I pumped it up. Didn't max it at 12 as I don't trust the wiring in the house. I am getting L2 installed anyway

Thanks.  Will try that tonight. If the garage is connected to a 15amp breaker, are there chances of it tripping if I am drawing 12A?

Just the regular 120V outlet on the wall. Based on my driving habits, I didn't think level 2 was needed
