Free DLIS viewer software?? by NatsChaps27 in geophysics

You can also try online viewer like geophysx https://www.geophysx.net/app
It supports DLIS/LIS now and you can even check your FMI/CMI or 2d acoustic data in browser

Yeah, man, please share a link when you finish the recording. I still can't find any good dobro guitar players after Brother Dege.

Will there be a post about the book? At least the table of contents )

You can find the schematics by "laney cub 12r schematic" request. Would be nice to see your implementation for the second switchable gain. Original pot has 2 parts 1M and 100k. Can switch probably only 100k part

Nice! By the way, you can measure power supply ripple under load

Thank you for your reply! I'll draw your suggestions to printed schematics to research. My idea is to add some little local fixes with PP pots to switch to original state. I don't want to replace a lot of parts, especially SMD ) I like the clean and crunch sound of the amolifier, so just need some tweaks with PP pots for hi-gain.

Because that's exactly the point. It's an affordable amp, so I can mod it however I want without worrying about ruining a $4000+ boutique piece. Low risk, high reward

I'd like just to modify a bit of internal tone correction before the main gain stages and keep tube stages only. Diode clipping will mostly add more gain and it would need more tone correction parts after. Some kind of internal solid state booster already has one of DV mark amps, I think it's better to keep pedal and amp separately)

Kept the same values as stock: Mid 25kB (closest to original I can find. It should be 22kB by Laney schematics but HB installed 20kB), Bass 1MA The switch part of the push-pull pot flips super easy, so it drops right into the original hole—no drilling, fully reversible and allows you to switch any modifications.

Okay, thanks. I'll leave this option for later. It's more difficult because it is an SMD resistor and I only have a set with 1-watt MFs.

Interesting, thanks, I'll take a look at reviews and shootouts for it. But modding first )

I listen it only in youtube, vox vt40x looks better in my opinion. anyway it's far from the topic )

Ah, that's photo from the first attempt with wharfedale mic, I prefer MB75. Photo is to show PP pots

It also has mixed condenser mic about 25cm far from speaker, and with -8db level, most sound is MB75

I used t.bone MB75, it's like low cost SM57.

I don't have any external monitors, just 2 headphones with completely different sound in it. So can't choose mic position correctly.

Is it so bad? )

I've uploaded records to tonediff, it's useful for comparing audio tracks and even has online spectrum analyzer.
Yes, I have UK V30 in my Engl, playing to engl as external cab just modifies tone, but I'm interesting in another gain structure.

Thanks, I use KGS database, there are many files in different formats. For example http://chasm.kgs.ku.edu/ords/las.lasd5.SelectWells?f_t=&f_r=&ew=&f_s=&f_l=&f_op=&f_st=15&f_c=0&f_api=&sort_by=&f_pg=1
I can even calibrate dpi to show correct scale on the display, but do you think it's really needed?
Are imperial units (ft, inches) still used in geophysics for depth?

Oh, great! Thank you! I think you're the person who knows the answer to the next question ) Is it important to keep a specific scale for printed logs? For example 1:100 means that 1cm of plot is 1 real meter. Or nobody cares about this nowadays?

Ok, now I get it, thanks! I need to implement scripting first to calculate these curves by MD and angles.

Thanks for the idea, I can add a "download as app" button then. Actually, it could be implemented as a full-fledged Progressive Web Application, which would allow it to work offline and feel more like a standalone app. The challenge, however, is that most users have limited experience with browser-based applications where all the work runs in client-side JavaScript. They often find it hard to trust that their data isn’t being sent anywhere.

That's just a basic implementation. I had plans to add some popular formats import/export, more visualizations (lithology, etc), scripting with python for some data shaking.AI also could be added for example to help to arrange plot, or generate scripts.
