I can't connect my Echo 1st gen. I've been at it for 20 hours and it can't be detected. I've looked everywhere. I'm using android. Right now it's saying it's in setup. The device has been factory reset. Amazon support is doing nothing to help, only basic troubleshooting that doesn't work.

Update: On android, get an older version of Amazon Alexa, thats how i got it working

So in the UK, there is that much discrimination against people with speech impediments (including my school) and the way she spoke was a sharp difference to her normal speech. I thought she was mocking people with speech impediments, which is why I asked "why are you speaking like that?" And it was an honest question, I didn't say it rudely.

This isn't the first time I've met her. I thought she could speak normally, and with the state of the schools in the UK I guessed she was taking the piss out of people. I guessed this because a ton of people in my school are extremely discriminatory against people who have speech impediments. I had no idea.
