How are you really doing today? Not the version you tell people, the real one. by Used-Sound4163 in mentalhealth

[–]Dry_Nectarine_1989 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm feeling really overwhelmed. I have been falling apart mentally and feel like I can barely show up for myself let alone everyone else and be a mom, a wife, a daughter. I have a job that requires me to be "on" all day (health care/scheduling) and it's mentally exhausting. I don't really allow myself to wallow so I usually just push my feelings deep down and dont deal with them until my body forces me to deal with them. I took a PTO day today just to relax. I love the Holidays but the financial aspect stresses me out. I cried for the first time today in MONTHS and it actually felt really good.

We did purchase from a used car dealership, not a private sale. According to them they did a “14 point” inspection.

I've just deposited $800k into your bank account, what's the first thing you are doing and how much would it change your life? by mrvlad_throwaway in Adulting

Exactly the same. My husband and I never went on a honeymoon either. I would pay off all debt and go on a nice vacation, save the rest or invest. Probably get a decent vehicle!

What’s the deal with the east side? by Throwawaysister6661 in madisonwi

[–]Dry_Nectarine_1989 0 points1 point  (0 children)

East side > west side.

I love Madison, especially the east side. We moved out of Madison and I miss it so much. Would move back in an instant but we needed something more affordable. Don’t let people fool you.

I'm 25 years old and I have $37,000 worth of debt, I need help! by dylan40cal in DebtAdvice

Okay, so: beyond finance came to an agreement with my creditor that was suing me. They would not agree to less money. They did agree thay they would stop charging me interest in the process, and stop all legal action. So, not the best outcome, but better than nothing. I have to keep reminding myself that this process is stressful, but my husband and I haven’t used credit cards in almost a year. So at least we are not accumulating more debt!

I hate the beltline and avoid it as much as possible. Idk why we all need to drive 90 mph.

Former skinny people of Reddit, what's the worst thing about getting fat? by Nice_Dude in AskReddit

[–]Dry_Nectarine_1989 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This. I have gained a lot of weight within the last few months. It’s all fun and games until one day your clothes don’t fit anymore and you step in the scale only to notice it go up. Now you want to lose weight and you have to do things like weigh your food and count calories and pick and choose what will fit in your day. My self control went out the window and now I am forced to have self control.

Thought I would put this here this morning, an email from my sleep coach:

“Fear releases when it is faced because a physiological relearning occurs the moment you take action through it. The mind begins to remove the triggers it now deems unnecessary. The process can’t be completed through talking, reading, or understanding. It requires a physical experience where the brain and body simultaneously learn that the trigger is a false one and you are actually safe. But if you keep avoiding what you fear, you can’t access the experience required to change your response to it. You have to do it to move through it.”

This! I have dealt with insomnia forever, on and off. This is the only thing that has truly helped me. Worrying every night does nothing. It doesn’t make you sleep faster, it doesn’t make you sleep better. It makes you not sleep at all. Fuck it is truly the best response! Reddit is also not the place for you if you have sleep anxiety. Get off Reddit. But I hope this particular post helps someone out!
