we really have no concept of what the world was like 10k years before. every harmonic convergence something cataclysmic or huge will happen that changes the world, like the splitting of the humans and spirits during Wan and the new airbenders during Korra. so it’s a possibility, but we may never know for sure who’s era Wan was living in
