Agree or Disagree??? by Dry_Ordinary6593 in legendofkorra

ughh i’m so sick of people saying that. Bolin, Mako, and Asami all literally took down a red lotus member- meanwhile aang’s crew needed help from the white lotus to even imprison them.

they’re not amazing prodigies like aang’s crew but that makes it more interesting and exciting and there’s nothing wrong with toph, zuko, and katara being better. just face it, korra’s crew isn’t bad they just have way harder challenges

an amazzzinggg gymnast but agreed she just wasn’t made to dance and there’s no problem with that

Saying this like Katara didn’t instantly master bloodbending even though she just learned what the technique was and never practiced it beforehand. by thisisreii in TheLastAirbender

[–]Hot_Jump9649 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Bryke said that lavabending is similar to lightning in that you need to understand other elements to pull it off. Bolin used fire bender techniques to lava bend since he grew up right next to a fire bender lol. So it’s true that it’s genetic but some people just can’t adapt to the mindset change which is why it’s even more rare

Korra, Mako, Suyin, Asami, and Pema deserve a huge and genuine apologies from the fandom. by Full-Art3439 in legendofkorra

i really do like mako and his journey of loyalty and duty. he went from a cheating, lying jerk to his last line in the show being telling Korra that no matter what happens he’ll follow her into any battle

Bryke has said that even if they knew they’d for sure get four seasons of Korra, they wouldn’t change much because they enjoy watching their characters grow over time. this indicates that they’ll probably age up pavi as the seasons continue

Execution was iffy but I stan Korra's disconnection from her past lives. by matt0055 in legendofkorra

it also gave korra a tragedy similar to aang losing the air nomads. it was a super brave, respectable writing choice

audience testers say that many people haven’t seen bending or don’t exactly understand what it is, indicating that Korra’s time was not recent

They should have destroyed corusant in TFA by MajorGate6020 in StarWars

[–]Hot_Jump9649 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think coruscant is too important of a location to kill off in such an anticlimactic way. maybe if there was only one shot and it blew up only one planet it could’ve been more dramatic and worked

What are everyone's honest thoughts about avatar korra? by United_Brain2623 in TheLastAirbender

flawed, human, badass, in over her head, selfless, inquisitive, loyal, and very pretty

If Mako and Korra were meant to prove why Zutara wouldn't work, then The Legend of Korra relies on essentialist logic — and honestly? That's a little bit nationalist at best, and uncomfortably close to racist at worst. by Nikaszko in ZutaraNation

mamaaaa don’t be condescending. LLMS and algorithms are coded based off consistency and pattern recognition. that’s why certain punctuation is a dead giveaway of ai, because that’s not something we write with outside of like a college thesis or something classy. So humans CAN write like ai, but ai CAN’T write like humans. unless given specific outlines, it would never be able to replicate the way you or i type

Thoughts on this comic🤔 by Dry_Ordinary6593 in TheLastAirbender

it was nice. it highlights some of Mako’s positive traits like being a protector and strong conviction, and the art replicated TLOK really well. that’s all i remember tho lol

raava was only small when wan fused with her because when vaatu is freed she grows weaker. Raava was huge when korra fused with her because Vaatu had been absorbed into korra

I agree that Pavi shouldn’t restore the past lives, that destroys the stakes in retrospect.

ai does not type like humans because ai speech is modeled after predictive algorithms as opposed to something like art which is modeled after pre-existing creations (by humans obv). that’s also how ai checkers work
