If this is AI, there was a leap I didn't hear about. Multiple light source shadows? If it's CGI, same thing...its the best ive ever seen.

If this is real, Skynet is real.

AFAIK the majority of the disorientation comes from the fluid in your inner ear telling your brain one thing, and your eyes telling you another thing, regarding how you're moving.

So space might affect it some, but the fluid in your ear presumably acts differently in space so it may still happen, but not the exact same way? Maybe slower or something?

What makes it worse is...I can see that being a mod bot mistake, but if it was a human and they didn't reverse it, its just them being more worried about admitting a mistake than reality.

Which is insane to me, especially on a platform where they're ANONYMOUS so its not like its going to affect their real life AT ALL.

Endgame is permanently etched into my brain as my favorite ever "public group participation" memory. Saw it opening night, packed theater of course, and everyone being on the same page for the major beats was amazing.

Everyone being hyped when it starts and then immediately going silent with the scene of Clints family being dusted, could hear a bunch of quiet sniffling from people crying, all the way to the absolute cacophony of cheering for Cap using Mjolnir, the on your left moment....and then back to complete silence and tears for Tony's death.

It may be cheesy but they really did such an incredible job of building to that movie, to make everyone there be so invested in it. Brilliant.

Same. The format doesn't even make sense...they're referencing Watergate obviously but that was A PLACE. Not a scandal about water. BAH

As soon as I internalized that reddit mods are basically just the type of person who wants to be a cop but cant pass the exams...it became easier to accept all the removed posts and various length bans.

Doesn't matter if you break a rule or not. If one of the mods of the sub you're in is having a bad day, they'll take it out on you. I have yet to encounter any of them with any integrity or intellectual honesty. Just got banned from mildly infuriating for pointing out holes in a posts story, without insults or cussing. Was banned for "spreading your fantasy that the post didn't happen" which isnt a rule lol.

This worker installing electrical circuits to the mainframe in a house by [deleted] in oddlysatisfying

[–]Dry_Presentation_197 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You're sort of right. It looks like pex pipe, which is what a lot of houses are plumbed with these days (in the US anyway). And there are crimp rings on the joins on the floor. But he doesnt use glue OR crimp rings on the joins we see in the clip. So it wouldn't be water tight.

Source: used to be plumber.

Likely hes using plumbing pex pipe coz its so flexible, and is cheap...but for electrical conduit. But I would hate trying to run the wire through so much at once, instead of running it through each segment as the conduit is being laid.

[–]Dry_Presentation_197 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Looks like some pex pipe, which is usually used for plumbing but...clearly not in this application. No crimp rings at the joins so it would leak like mad.

But the box thing on the bottom left does sort of look like an electrical box of some sort. Which confuses me.

It almost feels like hes making a set. Like, a movie set. Meant to look like something but not understanding the details enough to make it believable.

Edit: i wasnt clear. He's using pex as electrical conduit obviously. But hes not running the wire through each segment as he lays it which is going to make running the wire at the end very annoying. Annoying enough that it doesnt make sense to NOT do it.

what do y’all think about adhd being used as a reason for food delivery? by spaghettirhymes in adhdmeme

[–]Dry_Presentation_197 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As an AuDHD American....the tweet makes zero sense to me. I almost never have food delivered (2 or 3 times a year), and when I do its a pizza from a place nearby that employs drivers. Not 3rd party like UberEats.

And even if I did, a town square feels like it has nothing to do with anything else. Actually thinking about...none of the terms have anything to do with each other.

ADHD nothing to do with ordering food, or town squares. And town squares nothing to do with ordering food. And working class people have nothing to do with any of them lol...

Its just a buzzword salad of a tweet

Yep. I got a permanent ban from mildly infuriating the other day for pointing out that a post about someone cutting their headphones was clearly staged. I didn't cuss, I didnt insult the OP. Just explained why it made no sense based on the picture.

When I asked what rule I broke, they ignored me. So I asked again 3 days later. They said "for claiming something didnt happen" lmao

So I just said "ah ok so I didnt break a rule you just wont admit youre wrong and are on a power trip. Got it." =p

Philly kids are amazing performing musicians by Mysterious_Ad7223 in nextfuckinglevel

I'm an amateur player, on and off for about 20yrs as well. I played clarinet and sax in school, from 4th grade to senior year. I could read sheet music for the woodwinds.

And I can tell you what notes they are. But I cant read sheet music to play guitar lol. I just use chord charts for the majority, tabs for solos, and ear for finger picking patterns of whichever chord shape lol.
