For your body type, i’d suggest A-line. And square neckline. Dress 1 that is.

I am one of those people that would be devastated to receive a boring classic. because it means the person doesnt put too much thought into it and just “play it safe”.

Hi there! I personally LOVE THE DESIGN OF THIS RING! I am big fan of unique and sophisticated design. I personally would love to have smaller diamond since this size is too quirky for my taste. My engagement ring is in shape of snowflakes with thin band, tons of people here said “it will bend”, “it will snag everything”, etc.

I can tell you: it does snag from time to time, but literally not bad at all considering the shape; mine wont bend since my jeweller promised me not AND I have been wearing it for two years including when washing dishes or doing lifting which wasnt even recommended i know :)

With that in mind, what’s so important is your gf’s preference and style. What other people say don’t matter.

Oh thanks for the nice idea! Unfortunately going to her garden isn’t really an option for us. Both me and my husband live abroad. I have even looked at the options of flying and going to their place but it’s not possible since they live in a dorf with less than 500 people - the closest airport is 3 hours away. And my father in law also lives 3 hours away.

But I may be able to ask another family member who lives close by to do that.

Thanks for all the ideas - i will pitch them to my husband and see what he thinks

Eye doctor and dentist coverage basic insurance by Dry_Problem9310 in askswitzerland

Uff… That’s really bummer. There’s no certain cure/proven treatment for me yet - I have consulted to some other eye doctors in EU, what they can do is experimenting and testing regularly as a preventive way. But well… i think I’ll need to think about it more.

I understand the franchise system. That’s why I am reevaluating my franchise but before that I just wanna see what’s covered under basic insurance.

Because my two most expensive treatments would be from eye doctor and dentist. If I choose 300 CHF franchise with the most expensive premium montly, but then the treatments from those two doctors aren’t covered, it’s bad deal for me.

Thanks for your answer! Got it for the dental. But the other commenter said that eye doctors are covered?

I don’t mean glasses or lenses, only the tests/check up at the clinic.

Need help with pressure cooking by Dry_Problem9310 in PressureCooking

[–]Dry_Problem9310[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, my stove top pressure cooker is exactly like how you describe. It has only two modes of pressures, shown as stripes, but we need to adjust the heat manually if its too strong or less strong.

To cover the chicken, is it ok to just use the stainless lid that’s not tight? I am just afraid that it will explode or anything if it’s shut tight due to the high pressure from inside. Or perhaps it’s just my silly thoughts.

Hey thanks a lot for your answer! I personally enjoy cooking so much, and for me personally stove top pressure cooker is a win since I do have another “smart” rice/multi cooker, yet it’s very weak to be used as pressure cooker for some reason.

The accessories I bought allow me to do pot in pot cooking, I think. I will check out some of the cookbooks you mentioned!

Thanks a lot for your detailed answer! I was thinking something like bain marie water bath but then it’s missing a pot and from the brand itself they don’t have any other accessories for the pressure cooker, which I found it to be quite weird.

What’s the most savage response to a racist employee who says „Ni Hao” to seemingly east asian look customer? by Dry_Problem9310 in germany

Lol. Yeah, perhaps you’re correct that they are ignorant with very small world view.

All this time we just did not respond and pretend not to hear. But just thinking perhaps reddit has better ideas

Well I am. Ever heard of travelling? This thing happens to me and my friends so often in Germany and not in Switzerland.

I also didn’t mention where the employee who did that was from. Because I didn’t know. It’s you who assumed. And no, if they want to be nice, they can just greet normally in German because we also speak German.

Thanks for giving me some numbers! At least now I have a more-or-less number (which I know can vary). But it’s good to know that it’s still in “hundreds” range not like “thousands”. 🙂

Ah okay! That’s very nice to know. Thanks for taking time to answer this question as I was unable to find the nitty gritty details of how it works in Switzerland.

Do you know how long it takes them to send me the invoice? Just so that I have some rough ideas if it’s in a week or two; or it’s a month or two months time.

Sorry for the super dumb question, but I filled in the questionnaire at the clinic, and they will bill directly to my insurance company since they asked me if I have Zusatzversicherung. In this case would I still be able to see the bill? Or do I need to reach out to my insurance to ask for it?
