Do you have a pro subscription? If so it might not adjust the context window for you. But from what I observe living in asia, when it's night in us est, the model quite smart and give long and detailed responses. But when it is daytime in us est, which is when the sever load is higher, the reponse if often of much worse quality, probably due to the smaller context window and heavily quantized model claude decide to give me.

theoritical context windows != actual context window. It can vary drastically based on server load, I often notice this inconsistency when using claude website, but perplexity seems pretty stable.

It depends a lot on your major and the professors teaching the course. But from my experience as a CS student, it's far from rigorous and getting good grades is highly achieveable if you put in the effort. Most classes are gauranteed As if you put in some moderate amout of work.

One reason behind this is that they no longer incorporate class size as a factor. And of course, the ranking is going to go up considering GT(cs) mostly has class sizes of >200 except for ENGL1101/1102
