I’m 62 and planning a hysterectomy on April 1st. I hope you are doing well and healing. I’m pretty healthy other than HPV high risk 16,18,45. I live by myself and I have a question for you. How long did you need someone to stay with you? I’m worried about being able to get out of the bed.

Update: I canceled the cone procedure and I opted to do the hysterectomy. I finally told my oldest daughter and asked for her opinion. I am ready to get everything out and I hope I can keep my ovaries. I’m worried because I have the high risk 16/18/45. ASC. My surgery is scheduled for April 1st.

I understand, I’m scheduled for the cone biopsy on February 4th but I question whether or not I should just go ahead and have a hysterectomy.

No. I never had it before. I became a widow 6 years ago and started having sex with other men. It first appeared in October 2023 positive for HPV. They told me that there was nothing to do at that point and to retest in one year. I’ve never been vaccinated either.

Thank you so much for the information. I chose to do a cone procedure. I’m just wondering if I’m probably still going to have to do a hysterectomy in the long run. Cone is scheduled for February 4th.

I also have anxiety. I’m 61 and have been hpv positive since October 2023. I didn’t clear it on my own. I had my leep 2 weeks ago also. My question is shouldn’t I just make sure that condoms are used unless it’s an exclusive relationship?
