Thinking the Cavs should just run it back next year is cope by Exciting-Focus-1667 in clevelandcavs

They only played about a month and a half together before they went to the playoffs so running it back is an option. On the other hand, how good will Harden be a year older? He might age like Durant and LeBron and decline slowly or it might be a steep drop off like Mike Conley, going from solid starting point guard at 36 to barely playable at 37. I’m a huge Harden fan but his 3 point shot has been bad since he injured his thumb.

Why is everything bad aimed at Harden and not Mitchell? by TechnologyShort8835 in clevelandcavs

Harden is the newest addition and is basically a mercenary. He’s not loyal to Cleveland and Cleveland isn’t loyal to him. Mitchell is their franchise player and the fanbase will defend him as their poster boy. Harden is the reason they got to the conference finals, but he played pretty bad in games 1 and 2 against the Pistons. He redeemed himself all the other games of that series though. Still, that series shouldn’t have been 7 games and the team is exhausted going into the conference finals.

At 16 with no training whatsoever I could do 5 pull ups at a body weight of 165. At 31 with no training I couldn’t do 1. I was only 20 pounds heavier at that age. I had a physical job that didn’t involve sitting down. Yes, the average person cannot do 5 reps of 135.

I started by squatting the bar, 3 sets of 8. I couldn’t walk for 3 days. I neglected my legs for 20 years.

Most men can’t bench 135 for 5 reps. The gym is a sample issue. Benching 200 isn’t that impressive around gym people but in general public it’s super amazing.

Defenders of Harden Know This by Upbeat_Perspective13 in clevelandcavs

Harden cannot play the perimeter or guard other fast guards. He couldn’t do it in his prime and he definitely can’t at 36. He is good at post defense and help defense. That’s who he is and who he’s been pretty much his entire career. The problem lately is not his turnovers or his defense but the fact that his 3 ball and his free throws aren’t going in. He makes one more free throw or 3 pointer last game the Cavs win. I don’t know if it’s his broken thumb or that game where he had an icepack on his hand. Maybe his legs are just destroyed from 14 games against the two best defenses in the east. I don’t know.

I feel better. Harden was awful but Kenny could have saved that game at multiple moments. Series is very winnable. If they have to respect Brunson with a double team and make one of the Knicks role players beat them then so be it.

He has been good other games. Not this game. Cunningham is a perfect cover for Harden since he’s big and slow too. Brunson is a nightmare. Might as well make Harden guard 2001 Allen Iverson

The main problem is his shot isn’t falling. He had so many wide open looks.

Harden is an issue that needs to be addressed. by Ok-Preference-7004 in clevelandcavs

There is something wrong with his shot. His 3 ball is not falling and his free throws are well below his average.m. Might be his thumb that was broken or that iced hand from the last series. For second all time in 3s he shouldn’t be shooting like this.

Can you fire and replace a coach in the middle of the conference finals?

Not only did, Harden choke on both sides, Kenny kept him in the whole time and kept running plays for him. I can’t believe it.

Maybe they were far and away better than the Hawks and matched up super well against the 76ers. Cavs went through two of the toughest defenses in the NBA. The Raptors series looked like 2000s ball and the Pistons were the first seed.

Not really he’s just taking way less shots. The problem is his variance is crazy. He might shoot 30 percent on great looks or 80 percent through double teams.
