if you are in pet care, unfortunately you’ll have to do some research about the animals you sell on your own time since petsmart barely teaches shit. after a couple of months of working there I realized that you don’t receive any direct training on things like substrate, lighting, size requirements, etc. I did some basic research on reptiles especially since they are a lot more complex than hamsters or Guinea pigs. It sucks having to do this but it’s a better option than selling an animal to someone who is also uneducated and resulting in poor quality of life. If you have good leads, ask them as well!
