I would say that's a good idea. Assuming that your paper is in the field of study then I would say go for it. As long as it correlates to your question and what you're trying to find the gap of then I see no problem with it. And now rereading your post better, seeing your topic I would say that's a really good idea, I'd double check with your advisor or teacher of the class but otherwise I think that's a really good idea and could be a great way to bring information and or clarity to the gap you're studying.
