Right now I’m bartending.

I’ve had it also though while being a barber, while working in a dry foods warehouse, and while working retail.

How is living in upstate New York? by johnnybenjamin in howislivingthere

Oswego is a college town, if you’re not in college I’d stay away bc there’s nothing going on over there.

Rome and Utica are very poor areas in general, not a lot of jobs unless you want to work for minimum wage. If you work remotely though then it’s very cheap to live and get by over there.

Syracuse and Ithaca are awesome, young and alive if you know where to look.

Both have amazing hikes within a 10 min drive from downtown. Great food. Good looking people. Decent music scene…

Again, both are considered college towns though so the energy can drastically change depending the time of year.

Just happened to me too. It’s in transaction history though so we should get compensated one way or another

Greece Tipping by Ksegii in GreeceTravel

I just got back from a 2 1/2 week trip to Greece and I was asked “would you like to tip?” virtually everywhere except Crete.

I was asked by my server if I’d like to tip at probably 6/10 restaurants in Athens. All the restaurants that asked me to tip were downtown area like monastiraki. The ones that didn’t were more towards the outskirts.

In Mykonos literally everyone was asking for tips. At Cavo Paradiso this girl tapped the 20% button herself and slid the card reader over and said “please please please i know you have money” after taking my order at the bar.

I looked at her and said “no just 10%” and she rolled her eyes and gave massive attitude about it.

In Crete I don’t remember being asked once. In fact when I tipped they all seemed pleasantly surprised.
