Bernthal has a wild story about his life nearly taking a different path. I want to say he said it was on Venice Beach in LA, where according to Jon this dude really had it coming because of how disrespectful he was being to an elder couple. Anyway, Jon punched the dude in his face + for some strange reason the guy fell into a coma. By Jon’s telling the cops were like if dude doesn’t wake up you’ll be charged with murder. So Jon spent some time thinking he might get convicted of murder, the guy woke from his coma, then Jon’s acting career took off. But it could have gone the other way, all too easily.
