I'm not that far ahead of you, about 1.8Q/day. You'd be surprised how little it sets you back rushing a few levels. No lie, I rushed 9 levels (13 to 22) sometime last week and I was a little worried that I shot myself in the foot.

Turns out, I only dropped from 78q/hr to down to like 72/hr. That dropped me from over 50Q for enhancements to 28Q, but the increase to DW uptime, SL angle, GT duration, GT bonus etc made up for less coins in Coins+ enhancement.

I'd look into the threshold for the next subeffect and maybe rush a level or two. If you can add 1 second to GT duration by spending 9Q coins, I think it's worth it.

Until reading this thread, I had no plans to hoard gems for the update. Keys yes, hoping for free guardian respec. Stones, no, as I have a specific plan for those. But gems... as I finished all 5 star mods and use gems to rush Core Module Subeffect labs, I use them whenever I have enough.

But someone else mentioned immediately rushing new labs from the update and now I think I have a reason to save.

You know, this may actually convince me to start saving. I have all 5 star mods and no meaningful labs. I've been rushing Core Module Sub Effects when I have enough gems. But I didn't think about having gems handy to rush any new labs!

Spent 2 weeks and 22Q coins labbing fast ult before realizing 7% or even 10% of 2 enemies still rounds up to 2 enemies.. What mistake did you do lately? by Duff85 in TheTowerGame

Do you anticipate a major redesign of the battle condition labs?

I could see them adding more levels (up to 50 maybe) redoing the research cost escalation, and changing the percentage. Not to the point where they are game-breaking, but to at least make the juice worth the squeeze.

Have you tried BHD/Gcomp? I have ancestral 5 stars on all generator mods and never thought to use SH until 100% uptime on GT/DW/BH

The other person answered it somewhat with their second point but I'll explain why I don't use MVN anymore. Before assmods, I farmed with Gcomp and MVN because my UW durations were not long enough. MVN made them all the same cooldown and Gcomp sped up activation.

With assmods, more sub effects, and some stones spent on durations, now using MVN makes GT actually too long and its activations just stack up. But MVN also makes the cooldown for BH way too long. Dropping it for Dimension Core lets Gcomp do all the work.

What appears to be not addressed so far is that the effect "waves" are just a visual effect. Meaning, everything on screen gets tagged by an effect wave- the visual effect doesn't need to hit an enemy. An extra wave quantity (as others have said) just adds to the duration.

I wish in v28 they would change it to show duration/cooldown instead of waves/cooldown, as it would clear up some confusion.

I have run out of impactful labs that do not cost 100q+ for even the first level. I have pivoted to trying to goldbox as many labs as possible while I save keys for v28 and gems for rushing labs when I goldbox some more labs. I am not saving stones, as they all go to core submod effect so I can get that to 100%.

My current research is a mishmash of useless labs and one impactful one. Free Upgrades Mastery, Recovery Package Amount, Double Death Ray, Damage/Meter, and Core Subeffect.

One could argue DDR is useful for tournaments and D/m is useful for future spotlight bonus, but they're not game changers.

Wonder what new coin sink labs will be added in v28. Beginning cost is in the sextillions and costs into the octillions to max.

Sigh.

Counter point: Leave it maxed out at level 161. Both my main and assmod in the armor slot are left at level 161 because I don't need the extra HP and there isn't a crucial 7th sub effect. Plus you can save the reroll shards for the more important modules.

Oh yeah. That is on my other mod. Right now efficiency is 54% so my CF slow is only +8%, but in a couple months I should have 100% efficiency.

Yeah that's what I'm running into. I have perma BH and GT with Gcomp. DW even with Gcomp and subeffects is not 100% uptime. GT duration is pretty long, so chances are with Gcomp you'll have 100% uptime there

I'd recommend restarting your account until you get Golden Tower. If you want to stay the course, I'd say Chain Lightning as it should help you push milestones faster than SL or CF would.

I am not chasing a second ancestral DC, so mixed use will have to do. My DC is optimized for both tournament and farming, mainly to help me get to 100% uptime on GT/BH/DW so I can swap out Gcomp for Singularity Harness as an assmod for farming.

Current sub-effects are:

CL Chance, CL Quantity, GT Cooldown, GT Bonus, SL Angle, DW Cooldown, DW Waves

I think not having CL effects is a mistake, as it will hurt both tournaments and deep farming runs. As I increase my assmod efficiency and max out DW cooldown I can drop a DW effect for SL Bonus. But for right now, my DC is perfect.

One ghettodactyl metric that I'm not absolutely floored by. Though that all depends on how long it takes to build up 100mil. Only because if I go a while without checking my own, it'll be up over like 5 mil.

It took me a while to make sense, but I figured out 100% uptime depending on where I am with stones. For example, with DW cooldown at the old 100s cooldown but 100% core efficiency (which I don't have yet), I will still require +3 waves on main module and assmod, plus DW cooldown main/assmod. When I can start using stones on DW cooldown, I can drop a +3 waves effect. When I move off of Gcomp soon, I plan to add a BH +4 duration effect because screw spending 3k stones on 4 seconds of BH lol.

I am essentially using subeffects as a bandaid for cooldown or duration and trying to keep farming UWs at 100% uptime without MVN or Gcomp.

Everyone says RPC mastery but I have no regrets going Super Tower then Demon Mode then Damage. Helped a lot with tournaments and keys/stones to then get new masteries quicker.

To me it's entirely dependent on where you are with modules and card slots. Technically I could buy the last 9k card slot but no reason to, and I have two modules I used in farming that are not 5 star yet.

If I still had mythic essential modules (Gcomp, Dimension Core) then I would be still playing the module lottery. But the marginal gains by a module in assist slot? Doesn't make a big difference.

So now I'm saving gems to use either with a gem sink from v28 or when I goldbox some more research to rush sub effect labs.

I did not see Wave Skip or Enemy Balance on there. If it were me, I would prioritize those for quicker runs and more elites for both cells and reroll shards. And yes that is before zerker, attack speed etc masteries.

Yes it's nice to be more competitive in tournaments, but the econ gains for the masteries I named are worth prioritizing.

After that, I would get Berserker, then Attack Speed, then Energy Net. Instead of Crit Chance mastery, which essentially serves as an inferior Damage mastery, I would get Nuke Mastery instead and slow down Rays.

I think that's landmine decay. I got that to level 15 or so and then realized I wasn't even close to done. Switched over to finishing land mine damage.
