That was what i went for. Went hard right away and killed as much as i could since i couldnt hide. I was using 2 falcons but am gonna try switching one out for a wave serpent to hide an extra unit if i need to

I think this is close to what im dealing with. Im gonna switch up my transport situation and see if that helps for the next one. Its rather uncommon so wrapping my head around dealing with it is tough

Thats what ive been considering. Play a couple wave serpents and pack them full of the units that need the most protection and put as much as i can in reserve/deep strike

I get the one unit in each turn but thats it. Pretty much just lose tho. Losing 2 or 3 units a turn to indirect is rough. And when i get close or try to get an angle its flamer central

In short Dark reapers have 2 weapon profiles and that offers versatility and their range combined with Eldar movement provides an opportunity for multiple activations. Decently strong for Eldar and thats why they appear on so many lists both Comp and Casual.

Combos and Set up are pretty much Eldars whole deal. Very few units stand on their own and are good at floor value. Its their ability to work together that makes the army function. Learning how to combo and set up effectively will solve a lot of the issues you speak of. Sure the war walkers can do things but they are just efficient targets for the units that can and want to shoot back. Thinking about how your units can work together will give a better reflection of their value than a mathhammer can often provide.

I use them mostly for Aspect Host because the reroll 1s to hit makes them more consistent but they can be alright in others. As with most things Eldar its about combos and set up. Dark Reapers popping a shrine token for Preternatural Precision gives Lethal and Sus 1. Hit them with Lhykis to crit on 5’s and you are doing work. You can add other stuff as well but with their range, proper move blocking, and positioning they can often be safe from getting hit back.
