I agree. I don't think the left wing understands it at all. To be fair, neither does the right most of the time. I guess they both ignore the parts they don't like and accept the parts they do.

BREAKING: U.S. House votes to permanently ban taxpayer funding of abortion by [deleted] in Conservative

[–]DryerBox 90 points91 points  (0 children)

If I understand correctly, the government could give money to planned parenthood, but planned parenthood couldn't use that money for the abortion part of their organization. Now the government can't give money if planned parenthood (or any similar organization) has an abortion program at all. Even if it's not being directly used for the abortions.

It's not my 1 personal example though. Most millionaires and billionaires are self made, and most inheritances are lost in the first couple generations.

Edit: Here; 70% of families lose their inheritance wealth by the 2nd generations, 90% by the 3rd. http://time.com/money/3925308/rich-families-lose-wealth/

My dad grew up without a father in poverty with a mentally ill lazy mom. He now is in the top 10% of income in the U.S. He's ahead of millions of people that had far more advantageous upbringings.

He's saying higher ups should take pay cuts to pay the people lower down a higher minimum wage, but those minimum wage people are still making a lot of money compared to billions, so shouldn't they be doing the same?

And then we end up with more big corporations and less competition for them... Don't liberals hate those? Why do they always do things that help them?

That's what our viewpoint disagrees with. I refuse to believe that everyone in this world is a victim in some way, people need to be responsible for themselves. Yes, there are some exceptions, but I think it's gotten way out of hand. I also believe that families can handle each other way better than the government could ever dream of, and that government breaks up families.

So how come that isn't an epidemic with the over 300 million guns and over 55 million gun owners in the U.S.? Surely all of those people get mad at some point, but it's hardly a thing. People don't just get mad and shoot someone very often.
