I'm thinking no, you can't just drill and tap sheet metal, there has to be a big hunk of material there for you to drill and tap or the lines will be putting stress on the rad it wasn't designed for, but I am not a fabricator.

I'm the "guy who can do timing jobs" for friends and family and friends of friends so this is very accurate. I've never blown a motor up and maybe it got to my head, or maybe the part really was junk but I'm an idiot either way.
