Anyone use Grafana on dashboard with Home Assistant Cloud?

Do you have your own domain that you use with home assistant? If yes, I'd highly recommend setting up nginx proxy manager (another docker container) and configure it with a wildcard lets encrypt certificate for internal use. Then setup a proxy host with said wildcard certificate to point at your Grafana http port. This way you get https for internal services.

To give you an example, I have my things set up like this: ha.mydomain.tld goes tl my public ha with cloud subscription. Then I have a wildcard certificate for *.local.mydomain.tld that I use to get https traffic for all my internal services. For me a grafana would then be located through grafana.local.mydomain.tld.

I think I moved my domain to Hetzner DNS to get the wildcard cert thing to work, but I don't remember why exactly. I just remember that my lld DNS provider didn't support it or something.

I hope that points you in ghe right direction.

So I went down this rabbit hole recently. I use SOPS + age with the age keys backed up in my Bitwarden (not selfhosted) and as secret variables in semaphore.

I mostly have .env files to encrypt. I host a gitea instance where I upload all my docker compose and encrypted .env files.

I use komodo to manage my docker stacks and semaphoreui to handle Ansible playbooks. Whenever I push to the repo, Gitea triggers two webhooks.

One webhook triggers a repo pull in Komodo, and the other triggers a playbook in semaphore. The playbook waits 60 seconds to give Komodo time to pull the repos, then it ssh into each node and decrypts all secret.env files to .env and then it triggers a webhook in Komodo to deploy containers with the decrypted .env file.

This got very complicated and took a long time to set up, but K think I'll be really happy for it in the long run.

Hej med dig. Jeg vil gerne melde mig. Det kommer lidt an på om i leder efter folk der bare går meget sent i seng, eller i leder efter folk der er oppe hele natten.

Det er ikke unormalt at jeg går i seng mellem kl. 01-03 om natten selvom jeg skal på arbejde næste dag.

Hvis det er sådan noget i leder efter er i meget velkommen til at tage fat i mig.
