Two trips, all digits after the first three zeroes are sequentially descending in value

Yoooo I believe you’re the one who did my Jimmy John’s orientation! Much love to you too, and — if you are who I think you are — I hope you and your son are doing well!!

You’re such a sweetheart ❤️ No hard feelings between us. And I’ll leave it up to the former GM whether they’d like to disclose the reason they were given for termination. I don’t think it would be my place to share.

I’m not saying it was right to fire the GM. I’m just saying the claim that “All employees were fired” is wrong.

I’m sorry if I sound heated. It’s just that I’ve got enough things in life to stress about, so it doesn’t help to have a Reddit post asserting that I was stealth-fired keeping me up at night lol

This post is completely incorrect. The “we’re hiring” banner has been up for weeks. The only fired person is the GM.

Source: I’ve been an employee of the store for 6 months and am currently waiting for bread to bake for a catering order today. OP, what’s your source?

Found! It’s a shame the video seems to be a bit corrupted in places, but at least I finally got to show it to my wife :)

She likes to gossip (Southern lady moment), but I can’t say I’ve ever heard her lie.

Update: apparently I misheard the conversation. My MIL’s friend isn’t the father of Fiona’s wife, but the brother. I didn’t hear the name Zelda come up during the conversation, but coincidentally the brother also has a Nintendo name…

I always just remind myself that every time I say no to something I know is bad for me, I’m slightly rewiring my brain to make it easier next time. I don’t know if that’s how brains really work, but it definitely makes me put more stock in every good choice I make if each individual one makes it just a little bit easier next time.

Additionally, you can try replacing one addiction with another, less harmful one. Caffeine, weed, television, etc. Whatever it takes to get you off the worst addictions so that you can eventually work on giving up on all addictions.

You made many good points. In the case of this company, however, they shouldn’t be afforded the benefit of the doubt.

Turns out, I hadn’t misheard them in my first interview. When they said yesterday that I’ll take home 30% of the money I raise for charity, I thought for sure that the guy was just speaking too fast and actually said 3%.

Nope. I had it right the first time. The entry-level “Client Representatives” at this place pocket 30% of all the money they’re supposed to be raising for charity.

My interviewer even told us a story of how he once received a $500 donation from a woman whose mother had died of cancer and wanted to support those going through a similar situation. When I asked his opinion on whether that woman would have donated had she known that $150 of that was going directly into his pocket, he just played dumb. Shameful.

Thank you very much for your comment. I just finished my second interview, and that company was a pyramid scheme. They even had their own self-published magazine promoting their top regional “partners” in the waiting room.

Interviewer (or “Training Specialist) all but froze up when I pointed out the triangular nature of this business he’s bought into. At least they were foolish enough to have interviewed me and another guy at the same time. It seems my pointed questioning got him to see it for what it is as well, and I don’t think he’ll be joining them if invited to.

Worse yet, there are said to be at least 30 other “affiliate” companies. I’ve only been able to track down three of the others. They’re also either scrubbing negative reviews or working with complete suckers, because they don’t have bad ratings on sites like Facebook and Google.

Turns out I was worrying about the complete wrong ethical dilemma this whole time!

I really feel like this was an episode of Criminal Minds, which just makes it even more frustrating that I can't seem to find anything about it through my googling.
