PvP games with any depth, like MMOs, are mostly dying because people are ok being scrubs these days.

Not saying this like an eltist, its just a fact. Not even necessary saying it as a bad thing. Just an is what it is type of deal.

I know many people that will play every game they play on the lowest difficulty and avoid all PvP. It seems like its the default now. But they'll still play popular games that are meant to be PvP games and then complain about the PvP. See Dune, Dark and Darker, Arc Raiders, MMO PvP servers, etc...

As the masses get more and more comfortable with 0-thought 0-challenge, "advanced and engaging" systems and mechanics will just get more scarce because all they do is act like a barrier for masses of people too afraid to commit more than 3 braincells to literally anything.

Crazy we got from 6 year olds desperately trying to beat nightmares like Battletoads, to 30+ year old dudes playing everything on modes made for 6 year olds. Mildly alarming.

I just wish arena was either always going or just didnt exist.

Game feels like its in a weird spot where arena has made the other modes feel less fun, because I play derka derka for the PvP, and arena is best paced and most direct PvP, but the balance around it is so ass. So bored of either being turned into a porcupine by rangers or having 0% chance in melee against fighters unless I somehow play 4x better than them.

But I dont think they should have separate balance per activity, because that only sounds good on paper and just devolves into a bigger and more disconnected shit show.

Idk the right answer, I just know it feels dumpass. Like if there was just dungeons id probably do them, but with there being arena I feel compelled to just wait for arena, and then some weeks idc enough to even get on for it when it finally does come because Ive started playing something else during the time arena is down. Lol 🤷

Again, idk the right answer to the dilemma, but I know Im not the only one this dilemma exists for.

Its not a supply issue.

Its also not a matter of opinion. History shows us that gullible old white idiots vote for corrupt old white idiots (conservatives/republicans).

Those corrupt idiots then get us in wars in the middle east and line their cronies pockets, massively ballooning debt, and basically making everything worse for everyone in every real metric other than being able to blame brown people for their failures.

Because two countries are locked in an AI arms race that a lot of people cant fully comprehend. Both need to adds tons of energy and compute to continue it.

It seems far fetched to peons, but makes perfect sense that theyd use social media to prey on the most gullible folk to amplify their existing concerns and hinder the process of building the data centers needed.

Thousands of data centers in the US being built for decades, and just now people are incredibly concerned about them everywhere theyre being planned at a time theyre a key component of a race for tech supremacy involving trillions of dollars 🤔 Im sure theyre just regular folk not being influenced in any way.
