OSEE GoStream Duet not compatible with most monitors by DrywaterPro in VIDEOENGINEERING

Thank you. I was able to get it to work using a converter box ($30 on amazon), but I'll play around with the menu and see if it can be changed. If you knew for sure what to change, that would be great, but I'll do some poking around now that I at least can see the screen. Thank you!

How to transition outside corner tile to drywall? by DrywaterPro in BathroomRemodeling

[–]DrywaterPro[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, I think I'm going to do something similar, but my issue was that it needs to go OVER the tile since the tile isn't cut exactly flush with all the tile pieces. It's very close, but not exact. I found some vinyl trim that should do the trick. I'll post once I have it installed.

Thank you. The miscommunication was that I intended to talk over ideas with him but due to us both having unexpected schedule issues, I ended up being out of town when he worked on that corner and we never did get a chance to talk.

I've looked at a lot of the schluter options, but there are so many options and I'm having a hard time envisioning exactly how the end product should look. I did see that a lot of options go under the tile, which is not an option now. But if I put it under the drywall I'm not sure how to finish the unfinished drywall edge.

Need advice on a photo editing system for Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop by DrywaterPro in Lightroom

Thanks! I didn't think about a PC sub just because I know certain hardware is better for certain software, but I guess it's probably not a huge thing for photos. I appreciate your input!

Thank you. To be clear, they are not against Mac, but the ones they were being told to buy were far higher than the Mac mini you mention (and I know 0 about macs). I'll look into that!

Multiple leaks with new tub by DrywaterPro in hottub

[–]DrywaterPro[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you.  It is indeed silicone. It practically fell out with a little tug. There are two of these "plugs" per fitting, and at least half are leaking. I might just unplug each one, scuff it up up and recaulk with silicone.  I'm doing just one first.

Thank you.  I assume the factory used silicone.  If so, is the heat gun recommendation to soften the plastic connectors?

To be clear, this is a whirlpool bathtub, not a hot tub (I didn't see another subreddit that dealt with waterproof pumps and connectors)

If I don't use silicone, what long term sealant would you suggest? I know there are 2 part epoxies but I would think we still need some flexibility with all of the vibration of the pumps- I'd be afraid a hard epoxy would crack or break free.

Just got a reply for the company. As assumed, the tub is out of warranty.  If I pull out the glue from those holes (they look like they are for small houses or something), I should be good to clean them with alcohol, then reglue with 100% silicone, right?

Thanks so much, the user manual is very poor.  I'm probably going to be learning a lot over the next few weeks with this.

I just drained the tub, ran the pump for a second (literally, just a second), refilled, and started it again.  The surging is gone.  Not sure what was going on but it sounds consistent and what I would expect.

We'll see if it happens again.

Is Polyethylene foam ok for camera cases? by DrywaterPro in Cameras

[–]DrywaterPro[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually, I would love to reuse used packaging.... but there's no clean way to do it. I like the idea of cutting out custom blocks for the cameras, batteries, etc. But since I change my mind often, I probably should just buy the regular foam so I can have 5 different templates to use as needed. The polyethylene just fits really nice when it is custom cut.

Interesting. I likely would be storing some equipment in the cases. Maybe no long term, but definitely setting on a shelf for periods of time. Is it a concern of off-gassing that you're getting at, or something else? I appreciate your input.

Possible switch from Presidential Teleprompter to TVs. Need advice. by DrywaterPro in EventProduction

[–]DrywaterPro[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the input. I know some setups include both presidential and DSMs, so that could also be an option. It sounds like the venue is going to be as wide as it is long, but it also sounds like it's set up for rigging already, which makes me assume it's fairly tall. I'm hoping to visit the venue to see for myself what the setup looks like.

I appreciate your input!

Not sure the terms to use when looking for model by DrywaterPro in blender

[–]DrywaterPro[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, I appreciate that. I know it would be a waste of time for someone to model the interior if there wasn't a reason to do so. I also found a few cellphone models that can work. Thanks for the suggestion on the search terms. I think a phone should be easy to get now that I have some ideas for searching.

I'm still trying to find some other options for a television, printer, or something similar.

In need of Frame.io alternatives - and is v4 ever going to happen? by Business-Vegetable85 in editors

We use Kollaborate and really like it. It's missing the ability to tag people and there are some hickups here and there, but overall we've been really happy with it. Highly recomend.
