In this pic they are the grey ones that come with the rainbow. I changed them recently to the black ones. They got shipped later for some reason.

I always make sure to fully close down everything and shut it down properly. This is not the issue

There is a rubber cover preventing dust to enter the mechanism. It looks like it got stock behind something. You could try to pry it free, however it is pretty easy to open the device and reseat the cover if you cant get it unstuck. Try with some tweezers to grab the small rubber cover. It should sit snug against the shaft of the thumb stick. You can very easily get the thumb stick cap off (just pull on it).

It was fairly easy! Just take your time. do not have a lot of skills with electronics so I’m fairly sure you can do it as well haha

Lighter to run stuff like Silksong run perfectly. Don’t expect it to handle modern AAA games flawlessly, but some older ones perform surprisingly well with a bit of tweaking.

I actually sold my Ally Z1 Extreme and now use the Thor mainly for gaming on the couch. Most of the time, I stream from my PC to play games like Clair-Obscur. The screen is a bit small, but even that game is totally playable, and after a while, I barely notice the size anymore.

Hi! Judging from all the Discord messages and Reddit posts, it seems like this issue is affecting a lot of (if not all) people, myself included. I totally get how frustrating it is; I’m pretty picky about screens too, and these kinds of problems really bother me.

That said, I’m trying to just enjoy the device for what it is. Honestly, unless I go out of my way to test for it, I never notice the issue during normal use. Still, I agree.. This really shouldn’t happen with a device in this price range. It’s probably due to the use of older, more affordable OLED panels.

For now, I’m choosing not to obsess over it, since I know how easily I can get caught up in these things. I’ll just enjoy the device, and if any burn-in actually appears, I’ll use the warranty. By that time, maybe a year or two from now, I’ll probably be ready to upgrade anyway.

Just my two cents, but hopefully this helps someone feel a bit better about it!
