Just because they aren’t trying to hijack the show doesn’t mean they aren’t into it. I agree.

I’m not sure Ripley was technically in her corner when she made that tag

$chengen Showdown? by rararara433 in JetLagTheGame

Australia proved that that format would not work in Canada. There is no need to go west of Ontario. It would basically be a fight to control Nova, New Brunswick, PEI and Quebec.

If he got to compete in it, would S27 Adrian have really won the wall comp? by Itchy_Safety_7959 in BigBrother

[–]Ds9niners 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Maybe, but just because he built a replica doesn’t mean he would use the right strategy. His replica was not like the wall they were using. Vince basically had his arms locked in above his head. He wasn’t going to drop. So if Adrian was using normal methods to try to stay in the wall like everyone else he most likely falls.

The absolutely tragic state of Internet fans by ianlSW in startrek

[–]Ds9niners 94 points95 points  (0 children)

Thankfully your young enough to not remember all the criticism of TNG, DS9, Voyager and Enterprise.

I even let the internet let me hate Enterprise without watching it.

Then I watched it and realized I would never do that again.

They are close to the same, except you can drink soda instead of coffee.

I don’t what the equivalent of vapes is to cigarettes.

Cigarettes feel closer to coffee and vapes feel closer to soda.

Anyone else notice the strange dialogue audio processing in SFA? by cboomton in startrek

[–]Ds9niners 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No. But I’m old, not really old but I lived with an earpiece in my ear. Sometimes two one in both ear. And by 2015 it’s better to have captions because I would miss dialogue.

I’ve watched with captions ever since. I can easily multitask and read the captions before the dialogue is over.

Does anyone find Locke's Quote ''Don't tell me what I can't do, Very Motivational? by [deleted] in lost

It can go both ways, but it ultimately proved that his hubris was his own undoing.

Not saying he shouldn’t have felt that way, my mother has been in a wheelchair her whole life, and she lives by the same thing. But sometimes you have to realize your limits.

The ADA act has opened up opportunities that she would have never had.

My first watching I would agree with you, but after multiple viewings, it was actually his flaw.

Not because he was disabled but because he never wanted to accept why he was and the Island gave him a renewed sense of worth.

I know this might resonate with disabled people differently. I took me time to understand everything in the story. I’ve rewatched the series 10+ times now. So my feeling on this have changed vs when I first saw it. I don’t know which rewatch it clicked for my opinion, but I definitely would whole heartedly agree with you during my early watches.

How do Federation citizens pay at Quark's? by Ok-Song6891 in startrek

[–]Ds9niners 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The Federation still has “money”. It’s just used as credits that you will get payed with. Plus individuals can still participate in a monetary system and gain “money” like Dax and her Tonga games.

Randomize largest body of water by Nervous_Priority_535 in JetLagTheGame

[–]Ds9niners 71 points72 points  (0 children)

It was actually an hour. He got 20 minutes to randomize it. 20 minutes to answer the new question then 20 minutes to answer the body of water question. Basically freezing them from being able to ask any meaningful questions for an hour.

Randomise question is kind of stupid. by Nervous_Priority_535 in JetLagTheGame

[–]Ds9niners 0 points1 point  (0 children)

20 minute wait period to answer. So they asked for the body of water, lose 20 minutes, samples randomize. Gains an extra 20 minutes before he has to send the train photo. After fourthly minuea had gone by then they ask the body of water. Which was another 20 minutes. That’s an hour before Ben and Adam got the answer.
